Question about Philips 42TA648BX 42 in. LCD TV
A bad capacitor or two will certainly make this TV act as you say. If you can remove the back cover, you may inspect and find a bulged capacitor or two. The bulge cap is a dead give away here. Replace this cap or two. The TV should fine after that. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!
