Hi
Error code 7e means washer has detected excess silver ions in the washer. To try and clear this error empty the washer disconnect the power cord and water hose, and try to clean the water inlet filters. If cleaning the filter doesn't help then you would need to check the Silver Kit/Silver Care Board. The washers utilize two pure silver plates that serve as electrodes for the water inlet system. During the wash and final rinse cycles, silver ions are sprayed into the tub. To check Silver KIT/Silver PCB--
Silver (AG) KIT--
1. Unplug the unit. 2. Remove Top Cover. 3. Remove screws(2ea) from the rail. 4. Disconnect the wire harness. 4. Remove clamps and hoses.
Silver (AG) PCB-- 1. Unplug the unit. 2. Remove Top Cover. 3. Flip open the PCB cover. 4. Disconnect the wire harness. 5. Remove screws (2ea) on the frame.
Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information. Daniel

    Hi

You need to check for wiring connections to and from the Silver Kit and Silver PCB. Inspect for any burnt or disconnected wires on the board. Replace if necessary.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

It is due to a shorted connection or Silver kit failure, you would need to replace the silver kit if the wiring seems to be OK. You can buy the parts for your samsung washer from this link--- Samsung WF316B Parts

    Hope this helps...

When you use Silver wash feature then the Silver Kit and Silver PCB are enabled and release silver ions into the washer. Moreover the control board is programmed to receive signal from Silver Care PCB, when the Silver care board doesn't detect Silver Kit then it displays error 7e. To bypass this you should not use Silver wash feature. To reset the error message you can try this---

To enter the Special Test Mode, press the Signal and Extra Rinse Keys for 3 seconds or until the unit sends out beeping sounds. Wait for a minute then press Signal and Extra Rinse Keys for 3 second again, or Power Key. If no key is operated during Special Test Mode for 5 minutes, the machine will return to normal user mode.
If the error code still appears then check the silver nano wire connected between the control board and silver care board.

    Hope this helps...

Wires may look good but may not have continuity. I'll suggest you to check continuity with a multimeter. Also, make sure to check the Main Control board for any disconnected wires. If this doesn't help then we'll wait for the Silver Care kit to arrive.

The only way to know where the concern is would be to retrieve the trouble codes; without scan tool, this information not provided by the manufacturer.

Self-diagnosis procedures (with the diagnostic scan tool):
- With the ignition switch OFF, connect the diagnostic scan tool (Hi-scan pro) to the data link connector located under side of master vacuum in engine compartment.
- Make sure the ignition switch is in the on position, and then choose correct vehicle and model, proceed to diagnostic data link menu item.
- Choose the inspection item after initializing the unit.
- Press malfunction code detection No. 1 and diagnostic scan tool will display any malfunction code found.
Notice: A malfunction code is a four-digit number that is continuously output until the failure code is erased by the diagnostic scan tool.
- From the list of failure codes, verify the failed part and repair it according to self-diagnosis procedures.
- After repair, erase all malfunction codes stored in the ABS control unit by selecting inspection item (No. 4).
