Question about Acer Aspire 3610 Notebook
I have the same laptop, and i got the same problem with the camera, but see what i found. The built-in camera is located in the same piece of plastic that camera does. Then, if you open/close the laptop so many times, this seems to damage the camera connection and is like it doesnt have any camera. So when i want to use the camera, i simply push with my thumb around the camera, and run the program/chat or anything that i will use the camera. Of course, you first look at the drivers, if correct , then try the other solution i post. And theres no built in microfone. Hope it solve it.

F6 does not turn the webcam on. Your computer does has built in microphone. To configure your webcam with Skype, in Skype click Tools, then options. On the left side of the Options window click Video Settings. Skype should automatically detect your webcam and display a video window of what your webcam sees. Click save. Your camera is now ready for use in Skype calls =)
