all wires are tight. the red light is the power light for the amp meaning it has power.

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Try wiring the other amp using the wiring goung to the RF. It could be a loose con .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you.

The amp should always light up showing you that it is powered and there will also be a red light that will light up if theres something wrong.Sounds like maybe the hot wire that goes to the amp isnt big enough to give the amp enough power.Check your positive wire and ground wire for tightness and make sure hot wire supply is big enough and also the ground wire is big enough and has a good ground.I hope this Helps you.Have A great day..

If you've overheated it a number of times, it's possible that you've damaged the amp and it's trying to protect itself even though it's too late. Try disconnecting the sub from the amp. If there's no change, then there's a problem within the amp. It could be a thermal switch or possibly a stressed amplifier module.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!!

it sounds like your running your ohms to low, check to see what the amp can power and then read up online about ohms and your subs and how they should be wired

The light on top on my MRP-M450 blinks and the amp doesn't work

Well if you took off the cover on the amp and nothing seems to be burn't, check the voice coils on the sub. It's possible the voice coils have separated and is causing the amp to short it self out due to ground error. If that doesn't help let me know and I'll tell you the next step.

Powers on but no sound

Check the main amp fuse under the hood, even if it looks good just change it. Often times that light on the amp can come on just from the power amp tunon wire. Try a friends subwoofer box just to make sure the connectors on your box are good, and if that doesn't work then give me some more details....year/make/model of car, what kind of sub, what types of things do you see on the side of the amp....is there a green light as well as a red light?

Subs stopped working & protect light on the amp is red...

well at this point i would say it is both,, the subs fried because your amplifier passed dc [direct current] and fried the voice coils on your subs....return them if they are under warranty,, the amplifier sound like you either operated it beyound its specifications or it has a defective output stage allowing it to pass or leak dc....it turned the voice coils into the equivelent of the runners in a toaster oven....when an amp passes dc it is going to do so to whatever speakers you hook to it....so either bring it to a shop to be fixed/ return it to place purchase for exchange or throw it away.....or you will continue to experience the same problems....I am sorry..ps the amp goes into protection when it detects a short...[ the short is produced by the amp and it is detecting its own fault and putting it in to protection after it BURNS up your drivers....

SUBWOOFER NOT WORKING?

if you have real old wires from the amp to the sub try getting new wires on it. check the little wires that go to the cone itself on the sub. sometimes they can manage to get pulled out of their terminals and make sure that thier touching the terminals on the correct spot
