Question about GoVideo DV2150 DVD Player/VCR

1 Answer

When I put in a dvd movie that came from England a message appears on the screen saying wrong region. I'm able to watch the movie on my computer just fine. It's a classic war movie called The Heroes of Telemark in english. Is there a fix I need to do.

Message "wrong Region" appears in my Sony DVD -

DVD region is an anti-piracy method to block DVDs from other countrys to be played on a region where that DVD isn't available for selling. You still can watch that DVD by changing the DVD Player region code from options but be aware that you have a limited number of changes, after changes reach 0 you cannot change DVD region code anymore and your DVD player will be stucked to a certain region that you selected.

Region free?

This will fix change the dvb312 to region free for an individual dvd. Must be repeated each time you want region free.
Insert the different region dvd.
A message will appear on the screen "check region" (or something like that)
On you remote control press the "display" button. Quickly press the number buttons, "1", "2" and "3". It should now let you play the dvd.
It has worked on mine which was bought in 2003. We have watched a ton of region 2 movies. Good luck.

Have a Toshiba SD 220-E dvd p-layer & a dvd in it saying 'play restricted' can we unlock code ?

hi! i hope this code will help you unlock the region code of your dvd.

Put DVD into player - wait for regional code violation screen to appear. Once this
happens press the M (Memory) button on your remote control. Then press 1 for
Title 1 and press play on the remote. This will over-ride the regional code
violation detection menu and you can watch the movie etc by entering the fwd on
the remote control and change chapters etc by using the T (Title/Chapter) button
on the remote control)

When putting in dvd the screen says wrong region

DVD's are encoded to various regions of the world in an attempt to slow down video piracy. For example, if you purchased a DVD in England, then it will not play on a USA machine. If you purchased it locally, you need to return it.

JVC XV-N212 DVD player - unlocking region code

It is not a permanent hack, you will have to to it over for every movie you put in.

1. When "REGION CODE ERROR" shows on screen after you've input your wrong-region DVD you push "ON SCREEN".

2. When the DVD-menu is showing push "ON SCREEN" again and another DVD-menu will appear.

3. Move the arrow over to the clock and press enter. The menu asks for "TIME" and you write 0:00:00 and push enter.

4. You will now see the menu for the movie. Remove the DVD-menu by pushing "ON SCREEN" once. You can now watch the movie.

Don't think theres a pernament one for this player yet but i'll try and post it on here if i ever find one. Sorry.
