Question about Sony Televison & Video
Could be lots of things. The fact the tv is shutting down is a built-in protection circuit to prevent further damage. It is likely either a high voltage flyback transformer failure, horizontal output failure or convergence IC failure. Impossible to tell without someone performing tests to determine what is working and what is not working. The lights on the front of the tv shoudl be blink a certain number of times. This is an error code and helps indicate what might be the general cause.
