Hi. The only way to reset the toner error is to replace the counter chip on the toner cartridge since this is a re-manufactured toner. These should go for about $10 a piece. Otherwise, you can set the engine to continue on error.

Hi, you most likely don't want to hear this but using anything else BUT Konica Inks and cartridges WILL cause your machine to malfunction.

You see even inside the inks there are "Chips" that identify the Ink to the printer, sometimes re-manufactured, re-filled, or after market inks, simply won't work, or if they do cause problems.

"They" want you to ONLY use their Inks, as this is where the profit is. So "They" make it as hard as they can to stop anyone from doing so.

Not all non-manufacturer inks are bad, but many, many are often too many to take the chance.

To make sure though, you need to clean any contacts carefully where the cartridge mates to the print head, make sure they are seated correctly.

The ONLY way to eliminate the Inks, is to replace with Konica ones, and see if the problem resolves, if not, then maybe damage was done during replacement, perhaps static etc, and this is the actual fault?

Below is a service repair manual for you to download.

If the bottom amber colored light is blinking, the imaging drum needs replaced.

If the yellow print cartridge light is blinking, then replace the print cartridge (yellow toner).

remanufactured toners, or off brand toners are sometimes not compatible. I would contact the dealer you bought the toner from and tell them the cartridge is defective and demand an exchange or refund.

Dell 3110cn toner error message "remove y tape". I have changed the cartridge twice now and cannot get the message to go away. Now after just a few days in the machine the yellow is beginning to fade like...

A new Dell original toner cartridge has a pull tab on one side. This is a seal on the toner hopper and prevents spillage during transit.

Some remanufacturers fit a seal too.

This is not the same as the drum cover (large orage plastic thing on front of cartridge), which you will have removed.

I order for the cartridge to be tested, a small amount of toner is used on top of the seal.

So, it sounds like you haven't pulled the seal, and the "after just a few days yellow fading like empty", fits in with this.

Generally this is a toner cartridge issue. Are you using genuine toner cartridges or generic remanufactured? I have attended alot of repairs on this model when clients use generic cartridges. Usually a genuine cartridge fixes the problem.

You have a bad toner cartridge or a poorly remanufactured toner cartridge. This condition called "false toner low".

Lexmark e250dn printer, toner light is flashing, new cartridge

Could be photoconductor at end of life.

You shoul still be able to do a printer test print (press the arrow button).

Look on the printed pagesfor Toner AND Photoconductor.

These show as OK when new or very low count, and 100% when fully used.

If the toner is showing as 100% when you've just replaced it, either the chip is faulty, the wrong one, or if the cartridge is a remanufactured one possibly nor been replaced.

Hp lj 2500 flashing yellow light

The yellow-print-cartridge
light is blinking, and the
printer stops printing.
 The print cartridge is
empty or missing.
 The printer cannot
detect the print
cartridge correctly.
1. Reinsert or replace the print cartridge.
2. If the print-cartridge light is still blinking but the
Attention light is not on, turn the printer off and
then back on.
3. If the problem persists, repeat the above steps
with yellow print cartridges until the error is
resolved.
4. If the problem persists, replace the printcartridge
E-label reader, which is located on the
pressure assembly of the print-cartridge
carousel.

First and 4th yellow lights stay on

You should still be able to do a printer test page (press the arrow button).

Look at the printed page(s) for the Photoconductor AND the Toner.

They show as OK when new (or very low count), and 100% when fully used.

It IS ossible that the toner cartridge has a faulty (or if a remanufactured cartridge - un replaced) chip.

Some 'after market' chips are not compatible with E250, and it IS possible that your replacement cartridge is for an E350, or E450 (which have different chips, and some of the poorer remanufacturers , and some reselers that don't do these very often don't know).

It could even be a Dell 1720 chip on the cartridge.

I make around150 Dell 1720, 20 E450, 50 E350 cartridges a month and only around 5 E250s, so this gives you an idea of the relative numbers, in the market

"cartridge memory error"

To identify the misbehaving cartridge just replace them one by one with another new, preferably HP cartridge. As far as why, HP makes lots of money by ?encouraging? users to buy genuine HP consumables. While HP?s cartridges are uniformly the best available they are are outrageously priced, thus the refill market. In an attempt to kill the remanufacturing market HP now embeds ?chips? in each of their LaserJet cartridges, unfortunately for HP refillers can replace them too. I?ve found several references to this error message and they are always linked it the printer discovering a remanufactured cartridge. In most of the other cases this automatically disables ?economy mode? printing but you can typically bypass the error message by hitting the enter (check) button on the printer.
