Question about Microwave Ovens

This is a little tough as I do not know what the part is called. It was dropped into the disposal so it is damaged and allowing the steam the escape. It is a cylindercal piece, looks to be aluminnum, that sits in a hole on the top of the cooker may have had a cap on it before the accident. Hope this is enough to id.

It looks like this is a QVC pressure of the problems with the QVC stuff is that it is often a special buy and then parts are not readily available...
The best thing you can do is to call QVC directly or go in through your account and look up the purchase and then see if they list parts for your cooker...

    Wish there was better news...

There is a small vent hole at the bottom of your oven door that is made to allow you to reach a brush up to clean the glass.. It sounds like your stove seal isn't sealing.

Is my 2yr.old panasonic microwave that is peeling and chipping inside a manufacturing defect?

Not a manufacturing defect at all.
It is caused by customer error.

Keep the microwave cavity clean at all times and allow the condensed steam to escape by leaving the door open after use for a while.

What causes steam in between glass microwave door

Cooking food in there will cause steam as the microwave heats the water content in your food to make it hot. This will mean some escapes and will settle somewhere it can find cooler than the rest of the unit

The paint came off because my grandaughter put aluminum foil in it. How can I repair the paint?

I would like to make a warning ,do not try to repair microwaves , they are lethal weapons , I know someone who ran one with the cover removed and cooked his kidneys , if it is faulty dispose and get new, if aluminium foil was put inside it has heated up and as you say damaged paint ,the seal could also be damaged and lethal , dispose and buy another .

Hi. Some steam is ok. But when it is running it should be sealed up. The little rocker should be doing it's thing too. Good luck.

How do I add water to the pressa bella dry steam iron

Turn the big yellow top, if it's air tight use a plier and gently turn it. That will the trick.
WARNING!!! Becareful not to over fill the water reservoir by doing so the water boils making it leak. It is extremely dangerously as I steam burned my hand. Other than that u won't have a problem.

My 7qt slow cooker glass cover doesn't have a small hole for the steam to escape, so while it's cooking it is continually lifting the cover spitting out water and dripping over the whole counter, is that...

The slow cooker works by heating the food up to around 85 degrees Celcius and should not boil. If you have it hot enough to boil place a tooth pick under the glass edge. That will let the steam out.

I have a steam station Iron, it stopped sending the steam from the base into the iron through the cord .Also it has debris in the base when i empty the water Do you know the problem & can you offer...

This can be checked by you as there is not much of mechanics . Make sure that the steam is generated in good quantity so that the cord gets full pressure, if not clean the base perfectly so that there is good contact -- no debris .. make sure with a air pressure or water jet the connection tube is clean and not damaged at any points, if so the steam will not flow .
Once this is established you will get good steam pressure or else the connection tubing cord needs a change. Also make sure there are no issues in the iron to block off steam.

Is there a piece I can install on the bottom of my over-the-range microwave that will help keep the front of the microwave from being covered in steam when cooking on my stovetop?

Every over the range microwave has a vent on it that should be venting that steam. I don't know of anything you could put under there that would solve your problem as that is where then vents are and they would be blocked. It sounds to me as though your steam is not being vented properly, and this could also happen if the steam is being vented back into the room instead of outside as many OTR microwaves allow you to do. Its a little bit of work to vent it outside but I myself did that with my microwave and have never had a steam accumulation problem.

The start button on the Panasonic NN-A773 will not work at all

Is it possible that some spray cleaner accidentally got into the controls?

Direct spraying of cleaners on the keypad and steam from the cooktop can damage the controls.

Always spray non-ammonia cleaner on a soft cloth (not a paper towel which can scratch) and gently wipe the keypad.

Always use the vent fan when cooking on the stove top to keep heat, steam, and grease out of the controls.

If it does not dry out over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.

The keypad may be damaged or worn out, or control unit may be damaged.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

The best place to order Panasonic parts is Tritronics. You can also call them at 866-779-5835.

If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
