Question about Maytag Atlantis MDE7400AY Electric Dryer

I need to remove the temperature control module from the top panel because the "fluff" button is stuck. I can't figure out how it comes out and I'm afraid I'm going to break the plastic panel if I pry to hard. How does the darn thing come out? Thanks!

Your diagram is not correct. I have already removed the top panel and can access where the module plugs in you tabs instructions are not helpful. I can't see what tabs you are referring to.

so do you have the AYW or AYQ model?

Your parts diagram indicates the AYW model so I input in AYW on sears and it doesn't match up with your print from appliance parts pros.

Is the print correct from Appliance parts Pros?

The temperature switch is part number 33001652 and you can replace it by raising up the console then removing the fascia. Pry the 5 tabs securing the console to release it from the top cover.
I need to remove the temperature control module - jahn27_240.jpg

Start releasing the tabs from one side then prop up the console once a tab is released to prevent it from locking up again. Once the tabs are all free, raise the front of the console then roll it up to the rear of the dryer.

Remove the console fascia in order to unstuck the button or remove the temperature switch from the console. Release the fascia locking tabs securing it to the console then roll it off.

My 2001 buick century blows warm air on drivers side and cold air on passenger side could the problem be that the flapper is stuck.

The electric control actuator more then likely ! Do you hear any clicking come from behind the instrument panel . These actuators have plastic gears inside and they break , strip etc... Can also set DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes to set in the HVAC - control panel (module ) A scan tool used to check engine codes can't read these codes . Need a factory scan tool or professional grade .
DTC B0361
The HVAC control module receives a left air temperature actuator position signal from the left air temperature actuator. The left air temperature actuator position sensor is a potentiometer that is tied to a 5 volt reference source. The variable output from the potentiometer feeds back a position signal to a pull-up resistor located in the HVAC control module. This signal is used to determine the necessary drive signal to the left air temperature actuator motor to provide the proper air mix door position. This value is stored in the Keep Alive Memory (KAM) portion of the HVAC control module.
DTC B0363
Left air temperature actuator signal circuit stays at 4.5 volts or higher.

2009 Chevrolet impala has a clicking noise in the heater and ac system

That is more then likely a blend or a mode door actuator , they have plastic gears inside that strip an get stuck an then they just click .
The air temperature actuator is a 2-wire bi-directional electric motor. Two control circuits enable the actuator to operate. The control circuits use either a 0-volt or 12-volt value to coordinate the actuator movement. When the actuator is at rest, both control circuits have a value of 0 volts. In order to move the actuator, the HVAC control module grounds the appropriate control circuit for the commanded direction. The HVAC control module reverses the polarity of the control circuits to move the actuator in the opposite direction.
The mode/recirculation actuator is a 2 wire bi-directional electric motor. Two control circuits enable the actuator to operate. The control circuits use either a 0 or 12-volt value to coordinate the actuator movement. When the actuator is at rest, both control circuits have a value of 0 volts. In order to move the actuator, the HVAC control module grounds the appropriate control circuit for the commanded direction. The HVAC control module reverses the polarity of the control circuits to move the actuator in the opposite direction.
The HVAC control module determines the door position by counting motor pulses on one of the control circuits. These pulses are small voltage fluctuations that occur when the brush is shorted across 2 commutator contacts as the motor rotates. As the actuator shaft rotates, the HVAC control module monitors the voltage drop across an internal resistance to detect the pulses. The HVAC control module converts the pulses to counts with a range of 0-255 counts. The HVAC control module uses a range of 0-255 counts to index the actuator position.
Your have to figure out which side of the heater box the noise is coming from . The Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement - Right Side - the glove box needs to come out to get to it .
Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement - Left Side
the driver side knee bolster needs to be removed

What is an ICP - RCC - Speedometer fuse for on a 1997 ford taurus dohc ICP - RCC?

Hey Brian ,
ICP - Integrated control panel
RCC - Remote Climate Control Module
Integrated Control Panel-Electronic Automatic Temperature Control
Control Assembly The Taurus, Sable vehicles group together the following systems into a single integrated control panel:
  • AM/FM stereo radio
  • clock
  • rear window defroster switch
  • electronic automatic temperature control (EATC)
  • full-logic cassette tape player
  • compact disc player control (optional)
The remote climate control module is mounted to the A/C evaporator housing behind the integrated control panel. The integrated control panel is connected to the remote climate control module with a dedicated two-wire communication link. The integrated control panel EATC features:
  • a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) for displaying set temperature, ambient temperature, function and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
  • electro-luminescent backlighting for all buttons and graphics.
  • function override buttons.
  • temperature control and blower speed rocker switches.

No , there are no vacuum operated mode, temp. actuators ,there are all electric actuators . Is your lacrosse Dual Zone Control ? Could be a stuck temp. control actuator . Do you get both heat an cold from that vent . I'm assuming it's a vent when you say grid . Does you lacrosse have manual or automatic climate control ?
