My Sony DSCW320S camera has digital information (text etc) on the screen when I am trying to take pictures - how do I get rid of it, so that I can just see the things I want to take a picture of?

I don't have this exact model, but try pressing the DISP button. It should toggle you through a few different modes of data and picture assisting modes and then get to a no overlay mode.

If your model is different you can try looking for viewfinder options in the menu as well.

Hope this helped.

To change what the screen shows, press cursor-up (marked DISP). Bear in mind that none of the text will actually appear on your photos; they're there on the screen simply to inform you.

Text etc displays on screen but no pictures.

This is common problem of ccd imager chip failure in DSC-T1 camera. Replace ccd imager chip by local camera repair shop to get live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures.

The memory card is not working in my camera. The internal memory is fine but camera is not acknowledging that there is a card in it. I have tried several cards.

If you have pictures on the internal memory, you must get rid of them first. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

Every time I plug my sony cyber-shot digital camera into the computer, I get a microsoft document on the screen and am unable to get rid of it and it causes the computer to 'hang'. This has just started...

remove the memory stick and place it in a card reader [sony memstick compatible] try to download the pictures from it then do a format of the memstick. it seems a symptom of a virus.

Red Eye

i have a suggestion,

you can use Picasa2 to get rid of the red eye from your pics. however, this is installed on your computer and whenever you will take pictures, there will still be red eye. Picasa2 is very easy to use and you can get rid of the red eye in only matter of seconds.
