I connected mediacom karaoke MCI 6200TW premium to LG tv. Start up sound heard but no video came out.

It would depend on the cord that plugs into the tv. If you have the red, yellow, and white that plugs in then the video cable needs to be plugged in. You need to plug in the video cord. It sounds like you only have the audio cable plugged in. Try a hdmi if there is a outlet for it.

I need a operator manual for a lonestar sk-104 karaoke manchine

I have the same one. and I have had another model also.they are almost the same.If I am correct it is a cassette karaoke player. They take a special cassette that says lonestar super K.these players and tapes were from the 1992-1994.when you hook to the tv, the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4.the back of the machine should have a switch with 3 &4.make sure both are on the same.on newer tv you may have to figure out the input & output.some say video some say line 1 line 2 etc.my machine uses a cable cord from tv to machine.any tape will play in them ,but only the special ones will put words on the tv. if you use the special tape when you put it in the machine only one side plays.it tells you on the tape.also only one side of the duel cassette compartment will put words on screen.my sk104 is side B.Hope this helps.if you still cant get on screen words,it could be that part of the machine just doesn't work anymore.that is what happened to my other one.

The screen on my big screen is black it still works i can hear the tv but just cant see the pictures

Hi,

If all the following apply to your set:

(1) Adjusting the brightness and seeing that video is present (just black)

(2) The TV's menu system is visible on screen even though no images are

(3) Your particular SHARP model supports picture in picture mode

Then I suspect that the problem is your TV's picture-in-picture sub-board. All external video sources & the internal tuners must pass through this board before being processed and displayed on the picture tube (even when PIP is not enabled). As far as I am aware SHARP does not provide this board as a spare part anymore, but they can be repaired at the component level if the failed component is a generally available device.

When I connect my model KW-SA235 to my PC and TV, I get "no signal" on the TV. What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to run a PowerPoint presentation from a CD on my laptop.

PC to TV KW-SA235

Even though I have a hi res. 40 inch TV from Sony the quality of the picture from the PC to TV is far inferior to the small screen on my laptop. I can read all the shortcuts in the laptop, but they are completly unreadable on the TV.

I have tried to use the adjustment for increasing the sharpness, but it hardly changes. I tried to use the AV cable instead of the RCA one and although the definition was the same it went black and white,

The instructions tell me to change the computer resolution and refresh rate the pictures are so small that even after scanning then at 600 bpi I cannot see what is on the pictures of the screen.

This is far below the quality that I was hoping for and I am really disappointed. Even copying old videos from the 50's I am getting better pictures than this. There must be a better way of getting the very good screen results on my laptop, - an almost brand new Toshiba , onto my almost brand new Sony DVD Recorder. HDI to the Telly works fine but there does not seem to be a HDMI input, on the DVD recorder only an output.

The inputs available are RCA, AV which the laptop does not have, a scart and a USB which I do not seem to be able to use. So how do others do this. I have a lot of things on a 1.5 terabyte hard disk that I want to put on DVD.

Any comments would be welcome. Thanks George.

How and what do I need to hook up my laptop to the tv

You have many options but probably the easiest is to use an S-VIDEO cable.

If your laptop has HDMI you could also use that method but the cables do tend to cost a little more (worth it though for quality picture)

If you TV has a VGA connector then that is probably the cheapest and quickest way to get a quality picture.

If your laptop came with an S-video to composite (phono) type adapter you can also use that but the picture quality is not as good.

Your TV has DVI and S-video so one of those would be a good bet. dont cheap out on the cables though !

In my experience many cheap S-video cables are useless when it comes to hooking up computers to a TV

Cant get the cable picture dont know what happened to the cable behind the tv but no picture or sound is present.

Check the F-connector. Unscrew cable from set make sure F-connector has not slid forward on cable and that copper center wire extends out.

S Video cable

you need to toggle the display on your laptop. be sure that when you connect the tv or external monitor the laptop should be turned off. to toggle the display kindly press Fn followed by F8. for old tv's you need to have an S-video cable. for LCD monitors, either VGA or DVI cable will help.

i hope this info helps you.

How do I Record?

well, seems like your vcr is attached to your tv by the antenna cable which you need to program to get it to record. but he is an easy way to record and you will get a perfect sound and picture. Well, you need an RCA cables. you either have rca cables or scart plug. either on will do the job. you need to take the audio and picture cable OUT source of your channels IN to the vcr. now, OUT of the vcr IN to your tv. on the vcr you should change the channel to either AV or LINE..then you will get sound and picture. let me know how it goes

Sony 60" HDTV Plasma WEGA....Picture Problem

Sounds like your component cables may have come off its contact point. Check to see if your cables have become loose. Pushing them back in place should take care of that but check at the source output and the TV's input. Red Green Blue, when ever one of these 3 come out of contact the TV will produce a color hue relevant to what color remains in contact, looking faint and discolored. If you do find a loose cable connection, inspect the contact ends and squeeze lightly to restore a snug fit but don't do it to hard or you may damage the prongs.
