Question about HP Photosmart C4150 All-In-One InkJet Printer

How do I scan a document into computer and attach it to an email with a HP C4150 Scanner-Copier-Printer. The computer is a HP G62-367DX.

You'll need a photo editing program. HP may have installed one when you set it up

make sure the printer is turned on and your doc is ready to scan

go into the program and select either "import" or "Scan"

it should bring a scan screen up, select start or whatever term they use to begin.

once it is done scanning, the file should show on the screen.

SAVE IT NOW!!! just in case

from the options you should see one that says "send as email"

select that and your email should open.

send as normal with this attached.


i know i am not very specific but it will depend on the software you are using but these are the basic steps. i hope it helps.

    Photosmart Express is the only program I have to prepare and email a scan. The solution does not specify a particular program, will this one work? How?

    yes it will. open it up and the steps should be basically the same.

If your HP Printer is connected to the computer it should be able to save the scanned images to your computer when you start the scanner using the scanner icon on your computer.
The the way is to save the images to your memory card and transfer them to your computer using a memory card reader, then you can email these images as a file attachment in your emails.

How do i scan a document so i can email it?


You need equipment (scanner, copier/scanner/printer, etc... to scan your document. The software will ask you where you want to store/save to a location it on your computer. Then go to your e-mail client and click on new mail. After you fill out "to: i.e. recepient e-mail address", "regarding" etc. Find the tab for "attachment", Click,on attachement tab and locate the scanned document on your PC you wish to attach with the new mail to be send to the recepient.(The attachement will take quite a while depending on the document size). Then click send!!!

depending on your scanner lay the document to be scanned face down scan the document at the end it will ask you what format to be saved in select color i found if you select grey scale it comes out blury then save it in my documents/my pictures create an email click insert file attachment select browse to this document then attach it done

Generally, when you scan a document, it is a photo of the item. You can use a photo editor to enlarge then save the enlargement, once done, file, send to, email recipient, this should attach the scan as an attachment

You will have to do a two step process to send a scanned document or image by email; the scan to e-mail button won't work. Scan using either Windows Fax and Scan or Paint. Save your file. Then start (Compose/Write) an e-mail to the person you need to send the document. Click Attach and browse to the location where the scan was saved. The default folder is C:/Users/<user_name>/My Documents/Scanned Documents . Click OK after selecting that image. Finish writing your e-mail and send it.

If you'd like to automatically open the e-mail program, browse to the folder where you saved the fax from Computer (Start button) and right click on the image. Choose Send to Mail Recipient. The new mail compose window should open.

Wanting to scan from scanner to computer


this happened to me too. i don't know how to fix it on the printer, but i scanned it through the computer. i went into the hp solution center, went to the scanning section, and told the printer to scan it from the computer. it worked fine. that way you don't have to save it to a memory card or anything. they went to the same folder all my other scans go to.

GESTETNER DSM627 COPIER, SCANNER, FAX


The basic scanning method is to use the Twain driver, found in the printer driver disc.
Install it on your computer.
Put original on the exposure glass.
Open Word document, click insert, select from scanner or camera
and select your device scanner and click on insert.
Then you can save it and attach it to an email.
