Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller
This is often due to battery life of the controllers. First, connect your controller to your Xbox 360 via the Play & Charge Kit. Does the controller respond now? If yes, your battery needs to be replaced. If no, then the controller had a hardware fault that needs to be looked at by a professional.

The Xbox 360 utilizes two
types of controllers: wired and wireless. Like most operations on a

can either plug the controller into a port on the Xbox 360, or sync a
wireless controller using the console's built-in controls.
