Maytag Neptune front loading electric dryer rumbles. I changed the belt and rollers, but the problem persists. What can it be?

Check the blower wheel, A lot of time the blower wheel gets bored out where it connects to the motor shaft and basically just knocks around. A good test is to start the dryer, wait for the rumbling to begin then open the door. If the blower wheel indeed is the problem, the sound will continue for a brief moment after the door opens. I posted a link below to help, hope its close since I didn't have a model number. #15 is what your looking for in your machine.

I get a rather loud rumbling sound when I first start up the dryer the drum is turning but still getting the rumbling sound but not as loud.

Sounds like you need rear rollers or you have a bad blower wheel. If you turn the dryer off and still hear the rumble for a few seconds its the blower wheel. If the rumbling stops instantly then you have bad rear rollers. Hope this helps.

Our maytag dryer, model LDE7314ADE has a real rattley sound when it is running. We thought it was the rollers, so we replaced them both. They were in tough shape too, but now we think it might be the idler...

that pulley is pretty reliable,it could be bad but if it's rumbling when you start it i would think it would be the blower wheel part Y303836,remove the two screws and take the front panel off, unclip the wires out of the clip and move it to the left side, remove the four 5/16 inch screws and remove the bulkhead, grab the blower wheel,if it moves around it's bad or you can still start the dryer just make sure none of the wires on the door aren't touching metal, plug it back in and start it,if the sound is coming from the blower wheel open the door or unplug the dryer and change it out,if it's the pulley pull the drum and replace it,just make note of the way the belt goes on this dryer, can be a little tricky but if it's the blower wheel you don't have to pull the drum, but while you're in there get a shop vac and vac out the lint set it up to blow and blow all the lint off of the motor and any lint in the back will come up front so you don't have to pull the drum to clean it.hope this helps you out,one more thing the blower wheel has the same clip as the rollers do and another clip that you can remove with plyers.

Sounds like the motor went out. Before trying to start it it needs to be inspected. If you are not comfortable opening up the cabinet then I would would recommend calling a service tech. If you need further assistance please let me know.

Dryer makes rumbling sound when starting

If you remove the front cover and access the blower fan and see if it is still tight on the shaft. if it isn't it makes a rumble sound when started due to vibrating and after a while it makes more noise as it goes. Now I removed the fan and placed a shim in the flat area and matched the flat area of the shaft and replace it back on the shaft and it should solve it.

Rumbling in dryer

Replace your blower wheel. (This is fairly common repair for some Maytag dryers) It is not too hard to do. If you can confirm your model number I can give you a part number and tell you how to get to it if needed.
