Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat.

Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

I have an old Maytag dishwasher that was working fine, but about 5 months ago it suddenly started to make more noise. It still works though. I use it only once a week. Something is wrong though... what can I do? Thanks.

I have an AEG F55002ViOP dishwasher. It's making a strange grinding sound and showing error code 30. Can anyone advise how to solve this please.

Error "i30" means that water remains in base because leakage or overflow. In this case, in order to prevent flooding, drain pump running continuously.
When we talk about AEG dishwasher, drain pump works even the power is turned off (must be connected to the wall outlet, otherwise anti-flooding system will not work).
The noise what you heard during operation indicates that something is blocking the drain pump.
Remedy: you should first remove the water from the bottom of the dishwasher and determine leakage then check why the drain pump makes noise.

If you work around the dishwasher, you always take care that appliance must be disconnected from the power supply.

Good luck.

No water getting into machine

It's very possible that the water valve is faulty, we do see it on this dishwasher but also if water gets into the area of the drain pump it may code out do to thinking it has a leak and won;t fill either.

My GE 500 dishwasher is making a high pitch noise. There is also no water in the bottom of the dishwasher. I think it might be the water pump.

pump running dry(without water)
1)check the water hose connected to the machine(solenoid filter block)

Motor making noise- Kenmore Elite dishwasher

OUCH. Sounds as if your dishwasher pump is bad. Most pumps need to have water in them to keep them cool and or lubricated. it could be an impeller problem and coul be a cheap easy fix. Or it could be a bearing which is a more expensive fix and a little harder to do. I hope this is an older machine and you may want to go ahead and get a new energy star heat saver. Or if it is a new one just repair it.

Loud rattling grinding noise when pump is running, no water enters the machine.

Make sure the water is turned on to the machine, if it is then it sounds like a faulty water fill valve, just replace the fill valve, they can sometimes be cleaned but I would never trust one, they can always stick in the on position later and flood your house. Check to see if the valve is geting 120v ac before replaceing the valve, if it's getting voltage and no water is flowing then the valve is bad. You will need to borrow or buy a multi-meter for this test.

Strange noise from my Bosch Dishwasher SHU66C02UC/14

It just the pump noise. Since your dishwasher works properly you can ignore this noise.
