Passord:admin - D-Link AirPlus DI-524 Wireless Router

very sorry to say but yes the Old admin and passord is not gonna Work now
Only way is to HARD RESET the Router with the Reset Hole behind router for 30 secs or More
then again Reconfigure the Wireless

Type 192.168.0.2 in the web browser and hit enter. enterthe username and password of the router and hit enter. The default usename :leave blank and type admin in passord.

Click Wireless on the setup page and then click Wireless security. You will see the pre shared key encrypted there.

I assume you are referring to the authentication system in use on this machine. To turn it off:
Press SYSTEM SETTINGS
Touch Admin Password at top of screen
Touch the Password box and when the keyboard comes up type "admin" (case sensitive) and press OK, then OK on passord screen.
Scroll to page 2 and select USER CONTROL
Select USER AUTHENTICATION SETTING and untick the box.
Press OK then press the CA button. This should remove the password requirement.

If you reset the modem it will go back to the factory defaults

type in admin for passord and then look for a wireless link and there should be a sercuity code that you would have to enter on the grandson's laptop.

if it is a default password it sould be either Admin or Password. if you have changed it and dont remember the password, you may have to note down the internet settings and then reset the router to bring the password back to the default. then setup the internet connection again.

Systems setup default passwords are ofter admin/admin or ADMIN/ADMIN

go to your computer broswer
1. type 192.168.254.254 in the adress bar - this should open your router properties. if it doesn't please post the make and model number of your router here so i can look it up.
2.you will need to put in passord , usually User:admin password:admin
3. look at the status screen and verify that the wireless on the router is enabled.
If it is not enabled, we will need to change a setting there to turn it on. again if you post the make and model numbers here i can look this info up in advance.
