Good question..I aded a new ink cartridge..and it printed fine for several pages..then a few days later I printed again and after several pages it jammed and I pulled the stuck page out from the bottom, and after that jam and clearing, the system showed there was still a paper jam error after it had been cleared..

I had to go to work for awhile so sorry..hope you can still help me..I do have the PDF fiule and it says nothing in it that I can remember about cleaning, regarding this error...only to remove the paper from the unit, which was done..I also blew all the dust out of it today as best I could and the error code remains and the system still will not work..

Hi There and welcome to Fixya.

I have the following possible solutions to this problem involving E# Paper jam error. You've possibly tried these but it's definitely worth double checking since even a tiny fragment of paper can cause halt in printing operation.

E1 jams at the Paper tray:

  • Remove the lever at the right of paper tray
  • Check and remove paper/paper fragments carefully
E2 jams at the workcentre:
  • Push the front door latches on each side, pull it towards you and lift the toner cartridge handle.
  • Remove the toner cartridge
  • Do not touch the green surface of the drum
  • Carefully remove the drum
  • Check and remove paper/paper fragments carefully
E3 jams at paper exit area:
  • Push both latches and open the front door
  • With the door partially open, check and remove all paper/paper fragments
I certainly hope this is a help to you. For your convenience, you can access the complete user's guide through the below link :

I have a 5650 lexmark printer and it keeps saying paper jams but there is not paper anywhere.. how can i find a solution... when you load paper it keepps getting stuck.. help

There could be something blocking the paper path. Try to shake the printer upside down. You'll be amazed of the things that falls off inside the printer. Also, make sure that there's no paper left inside the printer. Tiny pieces of paper will still lead to paper jams.

Tip

Steps to clear paper jam.

Please perform the below steps.

1. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

Says paper jam but can't find any paper anywhere

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

Paper jam check drawer two t640 printer

Hello there,

If you are getting "Paper Jam check drawer two message" I would suggest you to check for any paper stuck inside the paper drawer two. If you don't see any paper jammed inside drawer two, you might also want to check out if its is stuck anywhere in the paper path. Removing the paper jam should fix the issue. Try cleaning the pick rollers (the rollers which pick the paper) in drawer two. This should help fixing this issue.

Merry Christmas!
