Technics SA-AX530 all modes not working - no sound

Not a good sign. There should be a click a few seconds after you turn on the unit. That says the output section is OK. If there is no click, you need repair. Perhaps only some fuses inside, but it could be worse.

Also make sure that the speaker switch is in the right position, like A, not A+B. Also the headphone jack can silence the speaker.
Make sure that ALL switches are in the right position.

If your unit is working fine in every function except this one, it indicates the receiver is working properly, the only suggestion I can offer is try another set of HMI cables.

RE: Denon AVR 3300 - I cannot get the system setup menu to display on Phillips P50PFP5332D tv screen? All connected components work and sound great, but I cannot see Denon's Setup menu on tv to a

I understand, it's something I've misunderstood on my denon avr-790 as well when connected to a samsung 8000 series led tv.
The answer isn't in the receiver's settings (you can be on whatever source you want on the receiver end when toggling the menu). You need to toggle through the tv's sources to find the menu (usually found on hdmi 1). I've spent towards an hour recently troubleshooting only to find that it was the tv's source that wasn't set properly and I was trying to change the receiver's settings instead of the tv's source.
Hope that helps!

Check that the Blueray isn't set to downsample to stereo. Your receiver could also be set on stereo. Do you have a "sound" button where you can cycle through different modes?

Denon AVR-3600,no sound

I only have a fuzzy brochure (no manual) for this unit.

Are the channel indicators normal or at least Front L and R lit?

Do you have headphones and/or can you run an audio pair out from, say, VCR1 (but DON'T select it on the front panel), to the TV to see if there is any audio passing through the unit with an FM station tuned?

Or a tape deck that you can use to prove some kind of programming is circulating internally?

You didn't answer about the Tape Monitor or DAT/Tape 1 being OFF.

What's your speaker set-up?

Right speaker not working. Will work during test however is not working after.

When it works with only the audio test signal that is provided by the receiver and nothing else, then that indicates that the device that is connected to it that you are trying to get sound from is not functioning properly.
First however, make sure that your balance controls are properly adjusted for matched output. Then check the connection of the devices such as your DVD player, CD player etc. If you are using digital connections such as optical or coaxial, then try a different cord...they might be damaged.

If you are playing media that has both dolby digital audio and dts audio, your player and your receiver will decode the first audio codec listed first by default unless you select it otherwise yourself. If your remote or receiver has an A.F.D. (auto format decode) button, press it until your display shows that the sound source is dolby digital or DTS, whichever sound mode it was you wanted when you started your DVD.

System has power and cd's spin but no sound coming from the speakers. checked all connections and tried speakers with a different system they work fine. Please advise, Frank

First, check volume levels in mixer, both output volume and cd input volumes...Go to control panel>sound and audio devices>hardware and check to see that your sound card and drivers are working properly. Use troubleshooter if devices are disabled or not working properly. Make sure advanced settings for sound are correct for your speaker type....
