The yellow plastic plug is stuck in the drain hole. I feel it but cannot remove it, is there a way to access that place otherwise?

Why are my power window switches falling into the door?

It sounds as though the retaining clips or plastic lugs that hold the switch in place are broken. You can check by removing the door trim if you can access it and feel comfortable doing so. Otherwise, take it to a garage or dealership.

Meile fridge freezer ice on floor of fridge

This fix procedure is simple and should not daunt anyone. First switch off the unit - best by removing any electrical connection, plug, socket, etc. At the rear of some (?) Miele fridge freezer units inside the compartment, is a large plastic panel. Remove this by first removing the food trays and then, use the screws in place on this panel. You wioll probably have to manoevre out the small cabled temperature "sender" control unit. Also see the drain hole at the bottom of the unit's back wall. Above this is a heat exchanger (like a car radiator). You need to pour hot water into the heat exchanger body at the top so the probable ice build-up is melted. This can take several jugs full of hot water and the drained water needs to be recovered at the bottom and lost elsewhere. I think I used a combination of old towels and drain cooking tray. If you don't do this, you will simply have a big water mess. When you feel the water flows easily the ice has probably been melted. The hot water shouldn't damage the heat exchanger at all. Dry all the components you can see around the heat exchanger. Then turn your attention to the drain hole. This discharges through a small plastic outlet into a water overflow tray and this is likely to be blocked with either more ice, or dirt. Poke a plastic rod or wooden stick down this hole and wiggle it about. You are trying to ensure that the drain hole is free to drain any auto-defrost water away by itself. When all is clear and dry, replace the large plastic panel, switch on the unit and hopefully see that the fredige freezer comes back down to the right temperature. You may need to refer to your User Manual to see how the temperature and settings all work. Good luck.

It is secured in all four corners by self-destructing plastic mushroom fasteners. Once you remove them, they will not go back in right. The best thing to do to replace them is go to your favorite local auto parts store and get some bolts with speed clips. Put the clips in or around the holes the mushrooms went in, put the bolts through the holes in the air dam/splashguard. Or, just don't replace it.

2008 f150, 4x4 is stuck in high. fuses are good. so are relays. what do i check next

Hey,Jeremy; Have you checked the fluid level in the transfer case? This is done from under the truck.vehicle must be level,block wheels,in park,set emergency brake,ign. off. the transfer case is forward of the transmission,connected to the front axles,behind[above]the skid plate,which can be unbolted & removed to make the job easier,especially your first time doing it.In the side of the case there are two plugs with a square hole in which fits a 3/8'' or 1/2 ''drive ratchet. the plugs are usually steel,where as the case is aluminum.the plug near the bottom of the case is the drain hole.Above it is an identical plug,the fill hole.remove the fill[upper] plug first,FULL is level with the hole,a small amount of fluid should drip out, or a finger tip will feel it 'right there'.If you've gone this far,consider changing the fluid. check your owners guide for type,capacity,and recommended service intervals. to change,simply remove lower[drain] plug,take a break while it drains into a suitable container.recycle like motor oil.when drained,replace lower plug,add proper fluid until it begins to drip it;'s FULL,replace fill plug,check both are tight.replace skid plate.regarding 'stuck' situation;start engine,check for leaks .stop engine un-chock wheels..turn switch to 4wd H.if on pavement drive slowly(35 mph) to a place you can back up straight and kinda too fast for about 50' brake FIRMLY to a complete stop.repeat 2 or 3 times,placeing transmission in neutral,switch to 2wd before your last reverse 'lunge' and stop.put it in drive and motor away smiling and waving to strangers.....NO??drive 'til it's good and warmed up,try reverse fast & STOP a couple times with switch at 2wd.shut it off for a few minutes,disconnect neg. battery cable for 5 minutes to reset computer, re-connect batt. When we use our air conditioner the front floor mats get very wet and it seems that the cool air comes and goes at times.

There is a small vent to drain away condensation (water) from the system. Ever note the water around your refrigerator or commode in the summer, or how there is a puddle of water on the ground under almost every car for a few minutes after being shut off? It is plugged, go to an oil change place, they generally have a set of long pipe cleaners to open it up and a lift to get easy access to the drain opening. Start there.

Leak on the ac in my 2003 mitsubishi galant

There is a drain hole just right (as your driving) of the steering column on the drivers side of the car. You can access this hole from the engine compartment. its right on the firewall. I just had this issue with my 2003 Galant (4 banger) and tried to dislodge the obstruction with a plastic tie, but it would not turn the corner to do the job. <br /> <br /> I then took the carpeting down on the drivers side of the car and found the tube. Its about 1/2 inches in diameter, black and at the lowest point of the plastic drain pan. I drilled a small hole in the tube and stuck a hanger into the hole to dislodge the obstruction. Since I used the plastic tie, I knew the obstruction was towards the cooler. Water started to flow out of the newly drilled hole and through the firewall drain hole. Once the water was drained, I plugged the drilled hole with gasket material. Let it set for a day and it was just like new. <br /> <br /> <br /> It tool about 20 minutes and was easy. Samsung b1215j code e2 lights up. any clues,

E2 code means it's not draining out the water properly
so look for a blockage at the pump
turn the power off to the machine
take the front bottom plastic cover off so you can access
the drain tube front right small plastic plug bout 13mm in size
get some towels and a shallow tray to catch the water
remove the small plug and drain the water ( takes age by the way )
once you've done that put the small plug back in
and then unscrew the black plastic ( they come in several colours )
pump access plug bout 50mm in size which is just to the left
of the drain tube ,, there may be a small amount of water left
in the pump but it won't be much
Once the pump access plug is removed look inside the hole
and see if you can see anything stuck in there most often
it's coins or other junk thats been left in pockets or very often
if you've kids it's going to be socks or other small clothing items
which have been sucked in to the pump
remove any blockages refit the pucp access plug
turn on the machine and put it thru a quick wash cycle
make sure it drains and spins out !!!! if not then repeat the above
procedure as you've got something else still stuck in there

Jaguar 2003 S Type Oil change. Where's the oil filter and drain plug and how's the best way to get to it?

you will need to remove the plastic undercarraige panel below the engine compartment to access filter & drain plug. I have the same model and change my oil about every 2k miles what I did to my first oil change was to cut access holes below the filter and drain plug to allow for fast/frequent oil changes. Not having to remove panel will save about 2 to 3 hours removing and reinstalling panel or will significantly save $ on oil changes jag dealer charges 100 a pop do it yourself for about 20$

Ice forms at the bottom of the Hotpoint FFA90 Freezer compartment, below the bottom drawer.
The drain hole at the back of the freezer compartment is blocked with ice and sludge.
This take about 20 minutes to complete.
1. Tools required:
- 7mm socket spinner.
- Phillips screwdriver.
- Clean damp cloth.
- Electric fan heater (optional, but it makes the job much quicker).
- A length of plastic tubing approx 3 ft (1 metre) long with 5mm bore (optional).
- A few inches of fairly stiff but flexible, insulated wire. I used a piece of yellow/green earth wire.
- A torch or inspection lamp.
2. Switch off the fridge and pull out the mains plug.
3. Remove all the freezer drawers. If there is food in them, wrap them in a duvet or something cosy to reduce thawing.
4. Place a shallow tray under the front of the freezer compartment to catch dripping water.
5. Switch the fan heater on to low heat, and let it blow into the freezer compartment from a distance. DO NOT get it too close - a gentle heat is all you need.
6. After a few minutes, use a blunt knife to prise the sheet of ice away from the bottom of the freezer compartment. I managed to lift mine out in one piece! - but it will probably crack into smaller pieces. Mop up as you go.
7. Using the 7mm spinner, remove the 8 self-tapping, hexagonal head screws that fix the back panel inside the freezer compartment. With all the screws removed, ease the panel out gently, pulling from the bottom first. It may stick a bit where ice has stuck to foam rubber inside, so don't pull to fast.
8. Put the panel on your draining board and allow it to thaw out. There will probably be lots of ice stuck to the foam rubber backing. Don't pull the ice off by hand - you may damage the foam.
9. At the back of the freezer compartment, below the chiller tubes, there is a drain hole about 15mm diameter, and this will probably be blocked with ice. Allow the fan heater to continue to thaw the ice in here, mopping up from time to time. Gently ease off any bits of ice with the blunt knife. As the ice thaws, the drain hole will gradually clear.
10. Insert one end of the plastic tube into the drain hole, and blow long and steady through the other. The warmth of your breath will help to thaw the ice in the drainage tube. Keep going until you have cleared about 5cm down.
11. Now use the piece of wire to poke down the hole and clear any further blockage. This should go down about 8-10 cm or so.

OK, that's cleared the drain hole and the drain pipe. Now you have to clear a messy brown sludge from the evaporation tray underneath, at the back.

12. Switch off the fan heater, and pull the fridge freezer away from the wall, so that you have clear access to the back.
13. Vacuum the dust and cobwebs out of the way - you need to see what you're doing!
14. Above the motor is the evaporation tray. Remove the two Phillips screws that fix it to the back of the fridge.
15. You'll need the torch for the next bit. Look between the top of the evaporation tray and the underneath of the freezer compartment. You will see a black, soft plastic tube about 18mm diameter that links the drainage hole with the tray. Use the screwdriver to prise the tube gently upwards and out of the tray. This could be messy with brown sludge.
16. Taking care not to damage or bend the metal pipes, gently remove the evaporation tray. This will probably have a messy brown sludge in parts.
17. Wash the tray clean; it will need a jet of water and a small washing up brush to get this clean.
18. Wipe the black plastic tube clean.
19. Replace the tray. The fiddly bit is getting the black tube back into the corresponding tubular hole in the tray. I had to remove the screw from the bottom left corner of the coolant pipework in order to get my hand in. Bend the black tube double so that the fold is towards you, and ease the end into the tubular hole in the tray; then push the tube down into place.
20. Re-fix the tray and fixing screw for the coolant pipes; then move the fridge freezer back into place.
21. The inner panel should have thawed somewhat. Gently remove any remaining ice and mop it dry. Press the aluminium foil and foam back into place. Wipe both sides clean.
22. Inside the freezer compartment, mop the coolant tubing gently. Mop the circular foam seal around the fan, and press it back into place.
23. Replace the inner panel. DO NOT over tighten the screws, as they are self-tapping into the plastic walls of the freezer compartment, and you might strip the thread.
24. Replace the freezer drawers, and switch on.
You should now be up and running.

Front lower left corner has an access door.  Pry the access door open.  Inside you will find a yellow tab that will open the machine glass bubble door. Below the yellow tab is a cca. 2.5 inch screw-in plug.  Place a pan in front of the machine and unscrew to plug.  Water will drain out of the machine.  With the plug removed, tilt the machine forward past 45 degrees until all water has drained out.  This will reset the washer.  Insert the screw-in plug.
