Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527 Notebook

1 Answer

Hi, My Toshiba A1350-S4527 is not booting. It's getting stuck at the initial bootup black screen. I tried recovering the last good setting but it didn't work. My Laptop's DVD drive is also not working, thus can't fix the problem by putting the Windows Vista CD. Can you please let me know which DVD RW I have to buy to replace the damaged the DVD player.

Toshiba satellite c660 stuck on windows splash

hi K Smith.
Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help in identifying the issue.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug its AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and see if it will boot up.
- If these will not work remove the HDD then boot it up and see if it will still get stuck at the BIOS screen or not.
- If it doesn't get stuck on BIOS and boot onto a black screen that means it's the HDD that is faulty.
- If it does get stuck on BIOS even without the HDD that means it's the motherboard that is faulty.
- Last trick you can try is to remove the CMOS battery for a second then put it back in.
- If all these will not work you'll need to send it for a repair if its still under the factory warranty
or.
1) Unplug the power cord --> Remove the battery --> Hold the power button for

60 seconds --> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and

later put the battery back into the laptop.

2) If the problem still exists then get it checked out.

My Toshiba laptop is stuck on the Toshiba screen when i turn it on? It gives the option F2 setup and F12 for Multibooting when I push either it says please wait but nothing happens?

Please disconnect all external devices (printers, USB hubs, USB drives, etc...) and then boot up at the same time press F8. Try to use the "Last known good configuration" from the Windows Advanced Options menu that will come up. If this option resolves the issue then look for any updates or software installs that may have caused the problem. If it won't, then boot to "Safe Mode" and try system restore. If all fails, then you need to perform re-installation of the Windows OS.Good Luck!

Looking for assistance. My father is having some

unfortunatly without a windows xp cd to do a repair reinstall or use the advanced recovery, there is nothing that can be done for this. This is a problem that requires that as part of the solution.

NO HDD RECOVERY AREA !

first boot pc, then right before windows would start, press either F2 or F8,, I think it's F2, this will bring you to bios settings, look for bootup device options, Set cd-rom as first bootup device, then Hard drive as second device, Then save settings, insert recover cd, then restart pc, it will immediately boot up your recover cd or windows disc

How to fix a back screen on a dell laptop

Press F8 at boot up to get a menu with various options. Select Safe Mode and boot. Once booted, go to display settings and set your monitor right. If that does not work, then F8 at bootup and select the options which says "Last good Bootup". that should do away the new driver you loaded.

Will not boot

It can have boot virus and when booting it finds your antivirus soft and if cant stop antivirus then calls "crash" screens, also sometimes real crashes heppened vith driver incompatible or incorrect parameter stored. If you have any LIVE Windows CD or linux boot from it anc check for viruses, also make disk check with disk utility. If not corrected windows must be reinstalled. If you havent try try "last good known configuration " from bootup screen, to call boot press F8.

Problem with toshiba A135-S4527 ,MOTHERBOARD NOT INITIALIZING

Have you left a cd in drive? It could be trying to read a disk to boot from if thats how your boot order is set up. This is the first simplest thing to check.

Getting out of the initial set up

First try to Boot to Last Known Good Configuration.. do this by pressing F8 upon bootup...look at the prompt screen for the option mentioned OR

Attempt to boot up in Safe Mode....
Do This by pressing F8 Upon bootup, it will take you to a black Safe Mode Options screen... once there choose the first option.. boot into Safe Mode Only.. If you are able to boot into windows that way,, you can then check for problems... Like checking the device manager for errors, Check the Status of your hard drive.. etc.
