How can I replace the CMOS battery an ASUS laptop?

There is no replaceable CMOS battery on this model.
It is probably a rechargeable battery on the motherboard.
See Manual which only mentions the main battery pack.

Replace cmos battery and case openning

Asus motherboards usually use a lithium CR2032 battery for CMOS. Also, on the top of the old CMOS battery you took out there should be the exact battery type engraved on the surface.

Batteries Plus in Wichita, KS has a good online store for purchasing your replacement battery.

I took the cmos battary out of my asus1005ha and iwant to buy anew one 1.i dont know the kind of the battary? 2. where can i buy it?

In my experience, almost all CMOS batteries are the same 3v CR2032 type batteries. Look on the battery itself, it should say how many volts and what model number it is. Take this part number and voltage and you should be able to find a matching battery at Radioshack or somewhere similar.

Need to reset Asus k7v bios

Yes, if you consult your motherboard manual this will show you the location of the cmos battery and reset jumpers. You can either move the jumpers from pins 1+2 to 2+3 and then back again after a few seconds or remove the cmos battery for a few seconds. Make sure your pc is off!

Asus motherboard bios version1104

Whether it shows your cmos checksum error press F1 to continue or f2 to load default.? If this is the problem than kindly switch off the system check for the cmos battery and change the cmos battery and set the date and time properly in the bios and save it by pressing F10.This will resolve your problem.and if not than check the jumper setting on the motherboard is it set to clear cmos and if so kindly remove and set it properly to adjacent jumper ok. Have a nice time.
