Question about RCA RC46 Clock Radio

1 Answer

Hello, I am a soldier in the U.S army currently deployed in Iraq. I had recently ordered an RCA RC46 Clock Radio on ( Well it arrived today (mar 25/2011) and I went to plug it in and it turned on a few seconds, then just shut off and now it will not power on at all. Unfortunately I believe it is because Iraq uses 220v in the standard outlet and it may have destroyed the clock. Is there another way around fixing it? Or am I just going to have to cut my loses?

That would be a good guess, GI. Is this the first time using electronics from 'the World" while on assignment? Be glad it wasn't something high-end and expensive like an audio amplifier.

Besides, it's designed for 7 time zones and I bet none of them are in the Sandbox.

Use it for a paperweight.
