Question about Canon imageRUNNER C3220 Color Copier
You could have a mechanical problem of course.A bad sensor or paper lift motor.Walk up to the device and verify that each paper tray can be selected and shows paper is present. If that checks ok then it may be that you are sending a print job document that the device "interprets" to be of a size that does not match any of the paper sizes that exist within the device. If it is a PDF file, make sure that "CHOOSE PAPER SOURCE BY PDF PAGE SIZE" is NOT checked.it should be off. Also make sure "FIT TO PAGE" is on. And Microsoft Word documents can be a problem. Word will try to override the settings you select from your normal print driver. Make sure the print settings in Word are correct. When a print job comes to the device there is alot more data than the document being sent. There are instructions as well and if those instructions make the printer believe that the only way the document can be properly printed is to have a paper size that is currently unavailable then the printer will prompt you to load paper. At the screen of the printer will be a picture of itself and it will indicate the bypass tray as the source to load paper as the only alternative. Again this all based on the fact that all the paper trays work normally when you walk up to use it as a copier. I hope I helped. :-) Let "FIXYA" know if I did please. SPINAL
