Question about Sony ICD-B25 Digital Voice Recorder
In reviewing the manual, there is no reference to downloading audio files to the computer. Is it possible with this device, and if so, what type of cable do I need?
There is no USB port located on this IC Recorder. However, you can transfer the files by connecting the Headphone OUT of the IC Recorder to the LINE IN of the Computer. Then, use any Sound Recording Software. You can also use the Sound Recorder Software that is pre installed in the Windows Operating System.

I have found conflicting information on this recorder. According to product specs on Amazon.comUK This recorder has no computer connection.
If this product description is wrong you should see a USB connection somewhere on the recorder. Just connect the USB cable from recorder to your computer. If you did not receive a USB cable with your recorder you will have to buy one. You will have to determine if you need a mini or regular USB cable. Then double click on my computer. You should see the device listed there. Double click on the Sony device icon. The files on your recorder should now be showing. You should then be able to drag the files to a folder of your choosing on your computer.
