it turns on, beeps once and the light above the pause button all flash continously until i push another button. I check outlet and plug. Im getting 110 from each side and the plug is secure and hooked up correctly

The dryer turn on then quickly shuts off. Beeps once and all of the lights above the pause button start to flash continously until i hit another button. 110 coming from both sides of outlet and new plug hooked up securely and correctly.

How many times is it beeping and do you have any error codes or flashing lights when this is doing this? first thing that you should do is assure that you have 110 comeing in from both sides of the outlet and also assure that the connections you made when you hooked up the new plug are tight and in the right positions as well I await your reply Thanks Rick
p.s on some units the amount of times the unit beeps gives which error the unit is showing as a fault along with any flashing lights

check the hi and the low thermal limiter you can do this by doing continity tests on each whichever is at fault replace the hi thermal tells the unit when to cut off the tempreture if it is not working it would shut down you unit after a short amount of run time tghis is the part number for you thermal limiter as well WE04X10094 and this is the schematic for your entire machine as well http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdir...= DSXH47EGWW&blt=06 there is also a safety thermostat built in at 1233 on this diagram as well http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdir... the thermal limit is at 1236 both of these can be checked by doing continuity tests if you have any further questions message me back and please remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations Thanks Rick

I would replace parts. It still is cheaper than a new unit. So get the new control panel and do it yourself and save money. The average life of a dyer is dependant only on when the owner gives up. I just serviced on last week that was 25 years old.

How do you replace the bearings on a GE Spacemaker DSXH47EG1WW dryer. In addition to a bearing set, is anything else recommended for the repair?

I looked up your model and it is VERY similar to that of a Frigidaire model. Same rear bearing as a Frigidaire type. The front of the drum rides on felt. The controls are all quick connected with molex blocks so that is not an issue. I ran across a homemade video of the bearing being replaced by a homeowner who is by no means a tech just a guy who can git her done!

I have a manual and the other videos He does 3 and repair photos HERE
