You might have selected the dual monitor out button, Usually "Function F8" or something near that. On the keyboard you will see something that resembles a screen and just toggle thru that while holding down the "function button" and watch the monitor and see if it changes, or a picture comes on. Good luck and let me know how things go. Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY

The video card might be no good on your machine. If the video card is not integrated into the motherboard try removing and re-inserting it, then try to to see if you get a signal.

If the video card is integrated into the motherboard then you will need to purchase (or borrow) a video card, installing it into your computer plugging a monitor to that and try to see if you can get the power to turn on.

Of course first you should make sure that the computer is actually turning on before you spend money on another video card.

Hope this helps

How do I fix the error no vga input signal no dvi input signal monitor going to sleep

Check if you VGA is properly settled in the PCI slot. Try to take it out, clean the slot for dust.
If that doesn't help, it is well possible that you VGA is not working any more.

The symptoms you described is common in fault mobo or VGA card. But VGA doesn,t turn bad so easy.I suggest to change your mobo first.

HP Pavillion won't bring monitor back from sleep mode

hi...if u can read " no input signal" from ur screen, this means that ur monitor is ok..
Look if u have power buttons on ur keyboard.. try to wake it from there.. some pc may have shortcut keys to bring back the pc... look @ ur pc docs on the internet for more info...
However if it's a hardware issue, it may be that ur RAM memory needs to be cleaned

DVI no input signal......VGA input active.

Are you running an additional Video card? Or are you using the built in one.
You might try cleaning the connector / plugs with acetone from finger polish remover or de=natured alcohol.
Never jam anything on a computer.
If its an add on card, remove it and reboot. Shut down and reinstall card and reboot.
keep me posted please,

I have an HP pavillion elite model m9250f. when I turn it on, the 19 inch monitor will show a screen that says no dvi input and then show a screen saying that the monitor is going to sleep.

have you checked the plugin in the back of the tower. check that all the prongs are their and attached. thier could be a number of things wrong. 1). could be the monitor itself, try it on a diffrent system. then we know if it's the monitor or the video card. 2). try hooking up a diffrent monitor to you tower and see if it will work that way, if not then you'll need to replace your video card. 3). check your drivers, kinda hard to do with no screen i know.

Input Signal Out of Range

I have been having the same problem with my hpvs17 monitor when i start to use my web browser on linux distros. Now, for the next few days i am going to try my system on a regular crt monitor. if the monitor does not crash, than i will have to say that the hpvs17 monitor has a defect. It seems that when i go online, while i am in the middle of searching something, the monitor just shuts off and i get "input signal out of range".
