During a garage remodel, my Sears automatic garage motor was unplugged and the wire going from the motor to the push button on the wall had to be cut and spliced back together. Door wouldn't go down on...

Make sure the solid white wire from each door sensor is attached to terminal #2 and the white wire with the black tracer is attached to terminal #3.

The solid white wire from the wall control goes to terminal #2 and the white wire with the red tracer goes to terminal #1.

If the green light in the wall control is blinking press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.

Why is the red light that says protect on? my amp turns on but it dosent work, i have a sup hooked up & it dosent work. the red light that says protect is on.

first thing check all ground and power wires and make sure ur rca wire make sure it isnt cut in anyway. after that unplug ur sub and unplug the negative wire from ur amp, while its out check the fuses on the amp if all is well put all fuses back if not get new. then plug the negative wire back in if protect goes off check for heat and if no heat inspect the wires from speaker out put all the way to the sub, look for any wire touching another this is were most problems are even the smallest wire can trip a protect. if u still cant find the problem. an amplifier specialist is in order.if its trashed go on ebay and buy a powerbass there goin cheap right now. hope i could help

Havin problem with a1200 class a/b amp it ligts green and red at same time after hooking in remote how doi fixdo i need diagram to fix

Make sure you don't have any shorts on your speaker wires or rca cables. Unplug one at a time, the turn on power until it stays green with no protect light, then you know what input is causing the short. If you remove all speaker wires and rca wires and all you have connected is the ground, power(12volts) and remote and it still lights up red/green(in protect mode) then your problem is the amp.

Amp goes green at first then protection.

check the impedance load or try a different ground. when you hook your ground up always make sure you sand the metal down before you connect to ensure a good and clean connection.as for the impedance, make sure your subs are wired to the right ohms. for example, if your subs are wired to 2 ohms or even 1ohm, and your amp is only 4 ohms, then it will do exactly what your saying it does.

Green light (protection mode) on, NO red light (ready)

double check your wires aren't shorting out or power or remote wires aren't grounding. check if speakers are blown with nine volt battery

When i unplug my rca rt2250 home theater system. the green light comes on on the right side. then goes off. everything works good after that speakers sound good. but once in a while that green light comes...

this is the amp IC and while unplugging and plugging it in again helps reset the IC for a little while , it will eventually completely quit and will need replaced
make sure that none of the speaker wires(bare wires) are touching or look like they might be where they are connected at
also if turning up the volume makes it cut out or sound bad then this will also indicate a bad amp IC

Amp on "protect" mode

Hi, what you need to do is unplug all the connections to the amp. The amp goes into protection when the circuitry over heats.\
First decrease all your gains to minimal volume.
Connect your 12+V, remote, and ground.
See if the protection light comes on then.
Next plug in your RCA cables.
Check protection light.
Then plug in your subwoofer cables.
See if you are still in protect mode.
Hopefully everything works alright again.
Just slowly increase the gain to see what the cut-off is. Make sure you aren't dropping the ohmage too low on the amplifier. Check manual for correct wiring and such.

My sony xplod 1000w xm-1652z doesnt work anymore

First off, according to the manual, the protect light should be green. That's normal operation. If it is red, that's a problem.

If it does go red, disconnect all of the wiring to the amp except the +12V and ground. Short the remote connection to the +12V to force the amp on. If the protect light still lights red, the issue is inside the amp and will need repair. If the issue goes away, try reconnecting one wire at a time until the protect light goes red again.
