Sounds like to me u have a plasma tv. And you placed the center or side speakers too close to the television. Just move speakers away from tv and you should be fine. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions. HDTV GURU JAY

Tip

The Best Place to Put Your Surround Sound Speakers

If you can’t feel the vibrations everywhere—in your cheeks, ears, toes—you’re not getting the most from your surround sound system. One easy way to improve surround sound quality is to focus on speaker placement. Crutchfieldadvisor.com has a detailed tutorial, offering such tips as:
  • Place your center channel speaker directly above your TV—centered if possible. Align the front edge with the front edge of your TV screen to reduce distortion caused by sound reflecting and diffracting off the TV’s cabinet.
  • Position your front left and right speakers in front, and at equidistant points to the left and right, of your primary listening spot. Your front speakers should be at a 22°–30° angle with respect to your television.
  • The tweeters should be at ear level when you’re seated.
  • Position surround sound speakers so that they’re ear-level when you’re standing.

Just in case, here's the 108-page user's manual for your TV:
http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/pdf/MIT_WD-52525_WD-62525_WD-52725_WD-62725_Manual.pdf

Yor "NetCommand" TV remote is a wondrous thing, capable of throwing off anyone.

When the 'Device Selection Menu" is dispayed, and only when the device icon is highlighted,
does the key work, and it also only works when the remote is in "A/V Receiver" mode -
not in "CABLE or DBS" mode, nor "VCR" mode, nor "DVD" mode.
So, (1) set the NetCommand remote to "A/V Receiver" mode
(2) bring up the Device Selection Menu, using the key on the remote
(3) highlight the Satellite receiver input icon (highlighted with a Yellow outline)
(4) press GUIDE on the remote, to swap the analog digital setting.

Also displays ChannelView for Antenna 1 and Antenna 2 - you may have accidentally
set the TV to get its input from the wrong Antenna.

If your TV has lost memory of its DBS source, you may have to re-teach the TV (using the remote)
that the DBS (Digital Broadcast Satellite) input exists, and to which input its connected.
Refer to "Edit NetCommand, Add an A/V Receiver", pages 39-45 of your Owner's Manual.

The broadcaster of the TV station has to tell you they are transmitting surround sound - sometimes they are just transmitting stereo. Also, the media as in CD's and DVD movies must have surround sound embedded or recorded on it to allow surround sound.

Choppy and distorted sound during gameplay with an optical cable

Check your pioneer unit settings, the ps3 settings are correct, and make sure you unplugged the audio cables. It sounds like a bad signal somewhere, which would cause the speakers to clip and distort. Make sure all of your surround sound speakers have a good connection if they have single wire runs to them and not a audio plug in them and there are not broken wires, or wires touching.

I have a Denon AVR-3300. I am getting picture but no sound in the TV/DBS mode. Every other connection is working fine.

Try switching one of the working source connections to the TV/DBS connection. Also note that TV and DBS are actually separate inputs on some models.

Surround sound

Hi

Your receiver is capable of video conversion, so there should be no problem using your component cable.

Does your TV accept component, or only S-Video? If you can run component to your TV, the best quality signal path would be using a component cable from your Verizon box to your receiver, and component from your receiver to your TV.

Make sure you have set up the video input correctly, so that it is set to accept the incoming signal on the correct sockets.

Your set has a defective color wheel. This is the noise you hear and why the set wont even come on now. The colors were bleeding because the color wheel was getting stuck and when you hit the set you unstuck it. You need to call a tech to put in a color wheel the part is about 100 dollars plus labor.

Did you have color problems in past? Most of these sets have convergence problems. Amps goes out. But you should have seen some type of distortion from color, red, blue, green. If no color problems then maybe vertical ouput out or horizontal output bad.
