Hello Rascalise,

It's very difficult to give you the correct instructions without knowing the model number of your TV and whether you are also using a cable/satellite receiver or digital converter.

Assuming you know how to change the picture size (aspect ratio) of your TV, the correct setting will probably be called WIDE, FULL, or 16:9. Common buttons used on remote controls for changing the picture size are ZOOM, FORMAT, P.SIZE or ASPECT.

If you are using a cable/satellite receiver or digital converter and you cannot set the picture on the TV to the correct size, you may need to change the output picture size on this box. Many of these boxes use either the # or * (star) key for changing the picture size. Both are usually next to zero. On some boxes, this setting will need to be changed using the on-screen menu.

Hopefully this information will help you to solve your problem. If you need further assistance, please let me know the model number of your TV and your cable/satellite receiver, if using one. You can reply to me by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question.

Regards,
BElectric

Pictures are to big

You can use Microsoft Paint to reduce the physical size/crop your picture, or you can use a program called Winsoftmagic to reduce the physical size of JPEG pictures without cropping.

Picture too big

Normallly, if the picture size button on the remote for the television1.gif ( If it has a picture size or format button) does not achieve the desired affect, then, a cable box or a satelite box is where the change4.gif needs to be made.
For example:
A Motorola Cable box needs to be set up to go to a wide screen or zoom when an analog signal is detected.
Some Dish Network boxes have Size buttons on their remotes and also in their main menu.
It's difficult to determine the repair without knowing the types of the peripherals.
Hope this helps.
