Question about Dymo ExecuLabel LM450 Thermal Label Printer

Open Question

My Dymo LabelManager 450D jams up at the point of the cutting blade. It printers the label, but never makes it out of the machine. It's fairly new, but has exhibited this type of problem all along. You actually ruin your cassette trying to take it out and unjam the tape cassette.

I had the same problem. I just put in new batteries and it is printing fine. Are your batteries low?

SOURCE: Dymo 400 was working fine, then I had to unjam

You probably didn't damage it, it sounds like you may have knocked loose the thermal printing portion (which is the most important part). There is no easy way for you to repair this but Dymo will usually do it for free under warranty. Their phone number is:

I would suggest reinstalling the driver.

First disconnect the label writer, then go to :

https://global.dymo.com/enUS/RNW/RNW.html?pg=std_adp.php&p_faqid=101

Scroll down and you will see your model number and download the drivers. Then run the installation again and it should prompt you to connect the label writer, which should fix the problem

If not also try reinstalling the "Label Software Application" listed on the same page as well.

SOURCE: Where can I get an Operating Manual for my Dymo LabelManager 350

Here is a link to the manual:

http://global.dymo.com/img/compel/Q5S_A-MZSgeJZGJ73tJmbPunig_yx_v1.pdf

You will need Adobe Reader installed to view the PDF, try to open it, if it doesn't work, go to adobe.com and download the free Adobe Reader. If you don't want to do that and cannot open the link above, here is one that doesn't need Adobe, but it isn't formatted as nicely:

SOURCE: I took out the tape D1 label cassette for the DYMO

I know this is too late for the psalter29, but here it is for others with the question. This piece is a cleaning tool. It is stored in the lid to the tape door. There is a small bar in the lid. The slot on the tool slides over the bar in the lid. The soft yellow pad should push down on the tape when the lid is closed. It is a cleaning tool for the print head. The user guide says "gently wipe the pad across the print head". The device should still work without the tool.

My dymo labelmanager 9000 will not print labels, a comment comes up saying label with arrows pointing to the left each time i press the print button. i have tried pressing the bottom feed button...

The fix for this involves opening the unit up. The problem is the infra red LED sensor on the label exit has slightly miss-aligned giving the error. If you unscrew the two sensor boards, re-align and screw them back all will be well.

Hope this helps.

Hi our LBELMANAGER 350D KNIFE KEEPS STAYING OUT

have the same on labelmanager 450. See if you can see any tape/glue particles on either side of cutting edge .
I cleaned the cutting edge with a thoothpick by pushing the point on the cutting edge and cleaving the wood, then moving ther thoothpick up/down along the cutting edge. Usng any metal tools may damage the knife.

How do I reset my Dymo lablel maker I have ! ! ! ! ! ! when in use

Hi,

!!!!!! is a (rather unhelpful) error code that means basically that it can't print for some unknown reason. If the tape is not jammed in the printhead, and the tape seems to move freely, then generally it means the machine is broken.

To be sure you can call Dymo tech support on 020 7341 55 29 (UK)

If it's under warranty, you can return by going here:

http://global.dymo.com/enGB/ServiceAfterSales/default.html (UK)

If not you'll need another one...

http://www.dymo-label-printers.co.uk/Dymo-Label-Maker.html (UK)

You don't say which model you have, but if it's the one in the picture it should still be under warranty as they're fairly new and come with a 3 year warranty (in the UK at least).

For US or other countries go to www.dymo.com and select your country, and then the returns and contact information can be found there.
