We have a Panasonic Blu Ray player that for some reason won't play the blu ray discs only regular discs now???

It sounds like the bluray laser is worn out. Try cleaning the lens with a Blu-ray lens cleaner. If that dosen't help it might be the blu-ray laser it self. The laser is dead. If you are under warranty the call the manufacture for service. Shop around for current retail prices. Bluray players have gone down alot and it might be better to go ahead a buy a new player.

MY DVD-RV32 IS SHOWING H07

Ah, the classic H07 error code. It means the spindle motor part of the traverse unit (which also contains the laser) has failed. Because the traverse unit is a multi-operation device, the cost of a replacement could be considerably higher than the retail price of a brand new player, along with the labour costs to configure and align it; therefore making any repairs to this one uneconomical.

If you want to get it fixed, by all means take it to an authorised service centre and get a quote, then you can decide afterwards whether or not to go ahead with the repairs to this one, or buy a new player. It is up to you.

Panasonic dvd player model dvbs32 fault dead no display no functions checked secondary diodes seem okay heated caps. no results any ideas

Are you sure that you don't mean a DVD-S32? if you do, that is a Panasonic DVD player. A DVB-S32 is a digital satellite receiver box, but it is a different brand.

In any event, the 'dead' condition points to one common denominator; the power supply has one or more short-circuit components. I doubt it would just be a simple blown fuse; it could be something far more serious, which may have affected the surface-mounted parts on the copper side of the board in this area.

The difference between taking this to a service centre to be repaired and the retail price of a brand new player could be somewhat significant, since new players are relatively cheaper to buy now.

If you really want this one fixed by a workshop. get a quote first on the likely cost(s) involved to restore it to full operation. Then you can make a decision whether or not to go further with it, or simply buy a new player.

Only consider replacing the whole player if you discover it is not economical to repair your existing model.

My panasonic dvd player and recorder is frozen will not function will not release disc or accept any commands DISPLAY SHOWS ??ERROR CODE U 99 RETAILER STATES I HAVE TO RETURN T O PANASONIC MOEL...

Yes, U99 is a software issue most of the times, you can check this website for the newests software version for your player:

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Drivers-and-Downloads/list-DVD+Recorders

Try updating the firmware (software) on your player, if not you might need to send it for service to a Panasonic authorized service center.
