Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(extract from my guidance notes on checking filter and drain motor operation!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position. Sometimes it is difficult to see the bottom panel screws as they are hidden by little plastic caps. The filter itself is normally held in by a round cover/knob and sometimes it will not come out with this cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Washer won't spin

Hello.

If your washer is indeed a WFL2066, than the not spinning is directly relatedto the unit not draining.

These machines by design cannot spin if the drain is inadequate.

Here is the first step in resolving the problem, you need to access the drain pump/filter to clean it.

To reach the filter and clean it...

**Unplug the washer from the dryer or wall, or turn off the 30amp breaker at the home service panel...safety first**

1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of the washer.

2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where awet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works as well.

3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out.Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or your washer detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreign objects/obstructions.

4) Re-install the lint trap insuring it is good and snug/tight. Before closing up the small access door, run a short rinse spin cycle to check for leaks.

Washing machine is not completing spin cycle at high speeds. Only goes slow speed tumble for a few times and then stops.

Below is for Whirlpool/Kenmore, u might find it helpful. Some machines have a small trap door on left front bottom, coin trap.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.

On some models the filter is located ‘inside’ the big hose from the bottom of the tub. This takes more time to clean.

Received a F 02 error code which is a draining problem. Checked the hose and it was clear. Upon restart, drum won't spin. Can hear motor engaging. Recommendations?

Sounds like it's not draining the water so the load is too heavy for the drum to spin. Remove the lower panel (3 bolts facing outward on bottom of panel), unscrew the lint filter trap (right side), and clean it out. Also make sure hoses are okay, and that the drain pipe is not clogged.

The control lock does not work. Tryed everything to unlock the

It is not inlocking because of water still in the system, run the drain spin cycle manually if that does not work you will have to clean out the lint trap and the water left inside will drain on your floor. To clean the lint trap. there is a panel at the bottom front of the washer. along the bottom of the washer there are three torx type screws to remove the panel these will be above the drawer unit if you purcased the stand. remove the panel by lifting from the bottom. then in the center you will see a plastic cap. twist the cap to remove. this is your lint filter. it pulls out and has a cup shaped piece attached to it pay attention to how it comes out im not sure if you can put it in wrong. clean the area out. there may be some water to spill out depending on how much is clogged in your system. replace the cap once you have cleaned it out this should help with your problems.

Will not drain or spin

There is another posted problem similar to this one if you look at GE front-loading washers.  I can tell you right now, though, that we just cleaned the filter (had the same problem as you) and everything is working perfectly now.  The bottom panel (on the front) of your washer comes off by removing 3 screws.  Our filter was full of lint, change, barrettes, etc.  I would highly recommend looking for that other post (has more information) or trying to clean the filter.  Hope this helps!
