Be more specific...
If you mean BIOS defaults press F3 or F9 to load defaults and F4 or F10 to save and exit. Or go to EXIT menu and do it from there

I can't find the drivers for my Olympus Digital voice recorder VN-2000PC. What can I do? I can't tranfers my audio files to my PC.

Do you need the software/drivers for the VN-2000PC or the VN-2100PC? The software for the VN-2100PC is available here: . Select your OS and you'll find the software.

The VN-2000PC doesn't connect to the computer via a USB port. To transfer your files to a computer, connect the earphone jack to the line In (blue) jack of the computer with a 3.5mm to 3.5 mm audio patch cable. Use a program like Audacity to record the audio track during playback. Make sure to set the Audio input to Line In. (In Windows 7, click Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound. Under Sound, click Manage Audio Devices. Then select the Recording tab and set the input device.) Then set the recording device in the software as well. Click the Record button in the software and then start the play back on your VN-2000PC. You should see a flat line for a bit then see a wave form start. If the line stays flat, you haven't set the Line In device properly.

I hope this helps.

Laptop SONY VAIO VPCEB32FM: how to remove BIOS password

The BIOS password is probably the Power On Password.
This method may not work. Remove the BIOS battery for 20 mins until the charge in the BIOS is depleted. Insert the BIOS battery go into the BIOS setting and set the Date and Time etc.
If this does nor work then the BIOS password is stored on an EEPROM chip and removing the BIOS battery won't work and there is probable no backdoor passwords.
The Sony support maybe able to offer a solution, check the support WEB site..

  • Restart your Sony Vaio computer.

  • Press the "F2" key to enter the BIOS.

  • Use the arrow keys to highlight the "Load BIOS Defaults" menu option. Select it by pressing "Enter."
  • Highlight "Load BIOS Defaults" again and hit "Enter." This will reset all of the settings of your Vaio's BIOS back to their original factory defaults. You can now select "Save Changes and Exit" to exit the BIOS.

Hi, my vaio VGN-FW31J can not find the BD combo drive. It says code 19, Please help! Best regards Robert

I have had the same problem for a long time.

It intermittently recognizes the drive but 95% of the time nothing.

I finally solved the problem this morning and am embarrassed at how easy it was.

Simply remove the optical drive and reinsert it.

There are two screws underneath the optical drive holding it in place, you will recognize them as they have three dots below the screw-head.

Remove these screws, pull the drive out and reinsert it.

My PC shut down once I reinserted it, but on start up the drive was visible in my computer.

Not sure if this could cause other issues for your PC, but mine has been performing perfectly

Sony laptop won't detect hard drive

If the drive hasn't been formatted, that is normal. On some systems, you also have to force the BIOS to recognize the drive by entering the BIOS setup (check with Sony or manual to learn the key needed). Once you know the proper key to tap at power on (it varies, sometimes F1, F2, Esc - who knows?), you will be presented with a simple text screen with a number of different selectable items. Choose 'Set factory defaults' and the BIOS should look for the drive and set the parameters for you. If that still doesn't work, check through the other BIOS items and you should find 'Detect fixed (or hard) drive.'
Sometimes installing a larger drive than the original can cause problems and if the BIOS is older, it may set the drive parameters of the original drive and ignore the excess capacity.

    Ps3 not reading any disc

what you have to do is turn it on and go on to settings. then format the system and wait for it to reset then start it up again and try it. (back up your info first!)
if that doesnt work ring sony and state the problem they should send you a new or refurbished ps3. but you'll need it in warrenty.
