Question about Acer Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Just switched from HP to Gateway computer. Trouble adjusting colors - mostly orange/bluish - may be caused by loose connection to electrical outlets.

It can be that some pins on the video cable or the wire inside the video cable is broken, it can also be the video card problem, please check them out.

I am having trouble connecting to the internet because my WLAN has been turned off, how do I turn my wireless back on?

From the HP website:

The power to the wireless network and bluetooth devices is controlled by a switch or button on most computers. It is possible to accidentally bump the button and turn off the wireless service. c02230159.jpg On most computers, there is an LED light that glows blue when the wireless device is turned on and enabled, and glows orange when off or disabled. Some newer models use different a different color scheme. To turn on and enable the wireless device, do the following:
  1. To turn on the wireless device, simply move the switch to the on position. On some computers, the switch is actually a touch point on the panel above the keyboard.
  2. To enable the wireless device, right-click the HP Wireless Assistant (disabled) icon c02228164.gif and select Open Wireless Assistant . Click Turn On . The HP Wireless Assistant (enabled) icon c02228163.gif will display.

When I turned on my computer the monitor colors looked normal - after about 1/2 hour the overall color became bluish and when I tried to change the appearance of the display, my only options are blue...

Try a different "data" cable between the monitor and your computer.

Try connecting your monitor to a different computer, to see if the monitor has the same problem.

Try connecting a different monitor to your computer, to see if your computer's video-card is the source of the problem.

Monitor has bluish tint

You should check to make sure the cable is tight at both ends (back of the computer and back of the screen). If it is, and you've already replaced the monitor, it's probably the video card in the computer. If your computer is still on warranty, I would suggest contacting the manufacturer or the retailer where you purchased it. If not, it looks like you'll need a "PCI-Express x-16" graphics card, which you should have professionally installed.

My packard bell lcd monitor shows orange then sometimes green light but has totally black screen. If power supply giving insufficient voltage would this cause above problem?

> insufficient voltage cause ?

Well, anything is possible, but other things are more likely:

1. loose connections of the "data" cable between the monitor and the computer's video-card;

2. an electrical "short" in the data-cable;

3. a "dying" video-card.

So, try the "free" stuff first:

Check the connections.
Try a different cable.
Try connecting the monitor to a different computer (laptop?).
Try connecting a different monitor to your computer's video-card.

Then, consider buying & installing a new video-card.

Wrong, abnormal or missing colors

・ If any colors (red, green or blue) are missing, check the video cable to make sure it is securely connected. Loose or broken pins in the cable connector could cause an improper connection.
・ Press and select Picture | Settings to adjust the Hue and Saturation settings. You can also select
Picture | Advanced to adjust the Color Temperature settings.
・Connect the TV to another computer and check if the problem is with the computer screen.

Other than that there is no mention of color adjustment

If you are in warranty contact Lg electronics since they own Zenith. I was having similar difficulties and they are sending me a replacement tv even though I am out of warranty by 3 years.

HPPSC 1315 --has purple pink tones--cannot get oranges yellow-red

Maybe a corrupt software driver, try updated software from the HP web site. Also it could be the electrical connections to the printer cartridges. Remove the cartridges & clean the gold or silver contacts with a pencil eraser. Be gentle & don't touch the contacts with you fingers, as it leaves an oil film & causes contact problems. Rgds,

Monitor color problem

there should be color adjustments in your menu.
also i don't think its the cable if its blue, cuz, if you was miss just blue it would not be blue. and if you had red and green it would not be blue. some video cards have settings to adjust the color in the driver settings or display properties. good luck.

Colour

ok this problem occurs mostly due to the loose connection in the VGA cable between the pc and the projector..
try changing the cable to give any other input and see it and then confirm it... that the color sensor of the projector is weak...
