  1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product. NOTE: The USB cable connects to the port on the back of the product. The port is labeled with the USB icon (Oxc19a0023 - c01424575.gif ). Remove the cartridges from the product.
  2. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  4. Wait 60 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button .
  6. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
  7. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
  8. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

Reset the printer.
Without turning off the printert, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer.


  1. NOTE: The USB cable connects to the port on the back of the product. The port is labeled with the USB icon (Oxc19a0023 - c01424575.gif ) Example USB connection (your printer might not look exactly the same as this example)

  1. Remove the cartridges from the printer.
  2. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  4. Wait 60 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power cord. If the printer does not automatically turn on, press the Power button (c01602202.gif ).
  6. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the printer.
  7. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
  8. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the printer, and then try printing again.

The "ink system failure" is caused by air in the ink nozzles. The clear the error you need to do a full purge of the system and the above procedure with do it.

Ink systerm failure for hp Photosmart C6380 Oxc19a0023 Printer ask me to restart,but after I did several times, it still showing Oxc19a0023 code on the screen.

The ink failure error is caused by air in the ink feed tubes in your printer. This happens when the ink in your cartridge runs out and the printer sucks up air instead of ink. Getting error code oxc19a0023 on my printer cannot do anything with it...tried uninstalling and reloading but nothing changed..please help!
