What would make by bike not want to run when istand it straight up

Low oil level safety switch, low fuel in carby float. Possible that if your bike has one, some bikes have a side stand switch that cuts out the engine if the bike is on its side stand, it may be sticking in the on position ??

Dishwasher wont fill

The float is located just inside the door either on the left or right hand side, it's a simple float, if it's stuck in the fill position then try a gentle push to release it, and make sure nothing is under the float causing it to stick in the filled position.

How do you reset the low coolant light on a 2005 cadillac cts

If your level sensor is anything like the Seville, there's a magnetic float in the reservoir and a reed switch snapped into a receptacle in the bottom of the reservoir. Either the float sticks in the up position (it only travels 5/8") due to sludge buildup or the reed switch/connector/wiring has failed.

Here's a picture of the bottom of a 2000+ Seville reservoir. You can just make out the green float above the 2-pin level sensor connector.

No water

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
If you want specific information we need a model number please to better help you. Otherwise we can only speak in generic terms. No water is usually caused by either a failed water inlet valve .. a clogged water supply line that has plumbing debris in it from the hot water hater or a stuck float switch.
The plastic float switch assembly inside the dishwasher that if there is food debris on the stem it will hold the float in the UP position and the dishwasher will not fill at all. Some models also have a flood switch. The switches work by being lifted up as a result of the water level. Make sure the switches function by gently lifting them up and down. If they stick up it will cut off power to the inlet water valve solenoid. Some float switches have an outer cover that must be removed to gain access to the actual dome shaped float.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Our dishwasher will not power on. we replaced the main fuse and have nothing for power

Check for a stuck water level float. There is usually a little plastic cover with a float under it. Scum accumulates and the float sticks in the up position, causing the dishwaher "brain" to think that the water level is already full. The dishwasher naturally refuses to start a cycle. If this is not the cause, it may be more severe such as a fried logic board (if your dishwasher is computerized). It also may be a failure of the switch that senses when the door is closed. Check the float first.

Whirlpool DU900PCDQ6 Dishwasher Will Not Fill With Water

Wow a 13 Dec 2009 post. I just started in Jan 2010 and am going thru questions.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

Before you go taking it out from under the counter... (at this point thre really is not a need to do so) lets back up a bit.

There are 2 main suspects at this point.

1. The internal Float and Switch assy sticking / inoperative

FLOAT (Item32 of link)
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=262340&diagram_id=104009#d104009

The float should move freely up and down. If the stem gets coated with debris it can stick in the up position. Make sure the float moves up and down while listening for an audible switch "click" as it nears the top position and just as you begin to lower it again.

The Float Switch (Item 30 of above link)
This is the switch that you should hear as you move the float up and down. No click = no fill

and

2. The water valve assy not functioning correctly

Water valve (Item 16 of above link)

The failures of a water valve are:
a. An open coil
b. A clogged diaphram
c. A sticking internal needle valve that is actuated by the coil

I am pretty sure that it is either a stuck float or a bad water inlet valve.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Bosch SHU43C Dishwasher

Is there no water coming in( hear no water at all) or no water NOT staying in ( drain motor running) ... the float switch is a safety to keep the dishwasher from flooding ...turns on the drain motor as soon as the door is closed..

I could check the control and see if you have power to the water valve.. maybe a control problem if no power..
