Why does my bed make a lot of noise

Most systems have cheap fans with cheap bearings that wear out easily. It may be time to replace the fan.

My 1988 Oldsmobile toronado over heats while in park and running, what should I look for ?

Engine overheating when idleing is a clear indication that the fan is not working. If it is an electric fan check temp sensor /relay or seized fan motor. If it is a viscous fan hub drive replace the hub as it is locking up tro drive the fan when the engine gets hot. If the engine cools down when start moving it is certainly to be in this area that you should be looking. A viscous hub after you start cold and apply about 2000rpm should produce a lot of fan noise which will die away after a few minutes. If you have no noise a replacement may be in order

My computer is becoming really hot and noisy. After turning on the computer, everything is good (no noise). Once around 15 minutes passes by or I open up a lot of programs together, my computer starts...

Sounds like the fan is wearing out, as it heats up the fan needs to spin faster and if the bearings are wearing out it will start getting louder and it will also get hotter because the fan cannot keep up the heat being produced. You can replace the fan, most computer shops will carry replacements, also get a can of compressed air and give the inside of the computer a good cleaning. This will help keep things cooler as well. Also make sure that the air vents on the outside of the case are clear as well.

Fan started making noise

I have one of these, and every so often, the fan would start making a loud clicking noise. I discovered that if I shut the fridge off for a while and left the door open to defrost it, it'd work fine again for a while before the noise came back. Apparently, some ice was building up between the metal heat-sink and the fan, causing the fan blades to scrape against the ice/frost build-up and make the "tick, tick tick" noise.
There is no compressor in the Avanti EC15W-2 mini fridge. It uses a simple Peltier junction device to transfer heat from the inside of the fridge to the outside/rear of the unit. So it should never get very loud at all, unless one of the two fans in it is acting up in some way.

The fan makes a lot of noise

this could be normal operation of viscus fan hub, it is engauged when you 1st start up when cold then a minute or two out of drive way when taking off they cut out
when idling it should cut in and out also

Fan/ engine whining sound

If the fan is only making wind noise it is ok. If it is making matalic noise replace fan. It would be a good idea to clean (blow)out the dust and dirt for the inside of the computer at this time.

Noisy fan after a few minutes start up

Yeah. i had this problem too. the fan is noisy because it is garbage. it needs to be replaced if you want to get rid of the noice. you moving the laptop wen the noise first started is just coincidence. the heatsink is fine, but the fan itself is poorly made. The ball bearings get loose and so the fan doesnt stay in its vertical plane and it kind of shakes a little, thats why it makes the noise. if you open it up and turn your laptop on, and wait for the noise, you will notice that if you push down lightly on the center of the fan, the noise goes away, because you are creating pressure at it's center of gravity point which makes it stop wobbling. you wont see the wobbling with the naked eye, because its much to slight to see, but its definatly enough to make that annoying fighter jet take-off noise..

as far as the noise, thats the sound it makes when something is wrong with the battery (if you ever drain it all the way down and try to boot it, it will make the noise) kind of messed up noise in my opinion, but its not a big deal, as long as it doesnt repeat.

for the fan, you dont need to replace it if you dont use your laptop a lot, you can try to keep your laptop cooler to keep the fan from turning on also. i suggest one of those USB fan pads that you put under the laptop, or a thermal pad, thermapak makes one for $30 i think, and it drops temps by 6 degrees celcius they claim, i dont know exact numbers but if def helped me. you can also try to put something in the back to keep the back elevated (where all the heat is) and the fan wont spin as much.

i know with desktop fans that get lots of use, noise is the 1st sign of fan failure to come, but ive been using my laptop with that god awful noise for about 4months now, and its still alive and kicking.

good luck!

Ps2 fan

Is your machine a old one or a slimline version??
Slimline version have a micro fan and can be replace it.The old one is even better because are cheap and you have a lot choice.Just make sure you get the right one.I believe is a ball bearing fan so if the balls inside get dirty or sticky ..or just defective from nature....nothing more you can do then get a new part.the noise is cming from micro vibration in rotation and all that micro..in 2000-3000 rpm in a minute make a lot noise
