Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have a Mac- lost my telus homepage-how do i get it back????

Hi Jeanne.
Open Safari browser. In the search bar at the top pre the address of the website you are wanting (telus.com) for example and hit the "return" key on your keyboard.
Once you are on the telus page, navigate to the exact page you would like to open every time you start Safari. Example "My Account".
Then click on the name "Safari" to the top left of your screen, next to the Apple logo.
Select "Preferences". A settings box will appear, make sure you select the "General" tab at the top left of this settings box if it isn't already the main window.
you will then see the name "Homepage:" with a field to the right of it. Under the name "Homepage" though you will see a box that says "Set to Current Page", select that and the field above will populate with the current telus webpage you navigated to earlier.
From then onwards, each time you open Safari, it will present you with the telus page you require.

How do I find my home page?

Quit the browser by pressing Command + Q together. Then open the browser again. If that worked you should see your home page. If you want to get back to your home page quicker next time you can turn on the home button in the navigation bar. It's not there by default but you can add it.

It would be helpful to know if you are using Safari or Chrome or some other browser. My bet is on Safari so here's how to do that in Safari.

1. In the gray area next to the address bar, right click or ctrl + click this empty gray space and you will see an option to "Customize Toolbar..." Click on that option.
2. In this next window that appears drag the home button onto the toolbar.

How to change apple to home page

Open Safari. Press Command and , (comma) at the same time or goto the upper left corner of your screen and click the drop down menu Safari (right beside the Apple picture)in the menu bar. Then choose Preferences. Make sure it has opened up onto the General tab by clicking the light switch icon in the upper left of the pop-up window. Look for Homepage it should be the sixth item in the list (Pending on the version of OS you run - I assuming Mavericks). Now you can manually enter, copy and paste the web address for Apple or simply goto the page for Apple and click the button right under the Homepage field that states Set to Current Page. For your convenience you could use this link for Apple in the U.S.
www.apple.com
or this one for Apple Canada
http://www.apple.com/ca/

Change homepage on mac

Your homepage is the page that normally appears when you first open Safari.

  1. Open Safari if it is not already open.
  2. Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click General.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To use the page in the current Safari window or tab, click "Set to Current Page."
    • To use another page, type its address in the Homepage field.
    • To use a blank page, delete the contents of the Homepage field so that the field is blank.
  4. If you also want the homepage to appear whenever you open a new Safari window, choose Homepage from the "New windows open with" pop-up menu.

Make google home page

If you're using Safari to browse the internet, then do this:
  1. Click on the Safari dock icon (it looks like a blue compass).
  2. Press these two keys to open Safari's Preferences: commmand+, (the comma key).
  3. In the small window that opens, select the "General" tab (if it is not already selected).
  4. You will see a field to type in the homepage of your choice. (type www.google.com in that field).
  5. If you only want Google.com to be your homepage, then be sure to also change the "New windows open with" and "New tabs open with" drop-downs to "Homepage".
  6. Close that small Preferences window and you're all set.

I am assuming this is through Safari. You can change your homepage within your Safari preferences. Go to the Safari menu, choose Preferences, and under the General tab, you can indicate what you would like your homepage to be.

Enter your name and password to get to the members' home page. Now under the Safari menu, open Preferences and click on the General tab. Underneath "Home Page," click the button that says "Set to current page."
If you use a browser other than Safari, the instructions will be similar if not identical.
