Question about LG Televison & Video

1 Answer

Hi have a 42LED5510-tb the screen turns off intermittetly when on for 2hrs to 3hrs. I have contacted LG service 2 times and both times they said that the tv has a 3 year warranty wait till the problem gets worse. I was told by LG to reset tv to factor settings, still has the same problem. Thanks Mario.

Hi Mario,
Since your unit is under warranty period, don't ever attempt to open the back panel because it will void the warranty. Give proper ventilation on the back panel, keep away all obstruction from the vent to allow sufficient air flow. This will avoid trigger the over heat temperature sensor from the processor which caused the subsequent shutdown. If the symptom still persist, inform LG service center that the symptom already got worst :-)

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

Battery is running down within 2hrs

I guess i know few things that could cause such battery shottage.
1. did you fully charge the battery the first time you got your beautiful Lg bl40 phone before using?

2.Find out if you left the bluetooth on or if there are so many applications running, while u play movies or listen to music

3. check if you often leave your phone in high hit temperature

4.turn off the vibration you get when you touch the screen, this can also help to save the battery

After 3hrs self cleaning oven and 2hrs. of cool down. The countertop light will not unlock. How do I get the countertop light to unlock?

sometime a relay sticks in the solid state circuitry.
Turn off the oven breaker at the fuse panel for 10 minutes or so. The turn it on hit reset button or open button and this shoud unlock the door.

My 32" LG takes about 3hrs to get a picture when turned on

Most likely you have capacitors in the power supply that have dried out or as we say vented. If your handy and want to replace the power supply I suggest " Shopjimmy.com ". If not, then take into your local service center for an estimate first.

Downloading from hdd to dvd+r ?

When you recorded your "footage" was the dvd recorder set to 2hr (sp), 2.5hr (spp), or 3hr (LP), etc.?Because for example, you downloaded (recorded to your hdd)your "footage" that is say 3hrs long, and your recorder is set to record at 2hrs mode(sp), then when you put a blank dvd in recorder to transfer from hdd to blank dvd, the 3hrs of your "footage" has been recorded in 2hr mode on your hdd, and will only record in 2hr mode onto your blank dvd. Solution is to set your recorder to the record mode in which your "footage" length is. For example, if your "footage" length is 3hrs, set your recorder mode to LP then when you insert your blank dvd should be okay. Or, set your recorder mode to 2hr (sp) and make two recordings of your "footage" onto hdd, splitting them up: 2hr on one, and 1hr on the other. When you burn to blank dvd you will have to have 2 blank dvds, one for 2hrs, the other for 1hr. I had to same thing happen to me. I hope this works for ya.
