Question about Brother CS6000i Computerized Sewing Machine

Open Question

I'm in South Africa and like other people in other countries who have bought the brother CS6000i, I wasn't aware that I would need a step down tranformer from 220V to 110V, so when I plugged the machine in it blew. I've now purched a transformer but of course now I have to have the power component replaced. Can you advise on what parts I need to buy to get it fixed. The only brother company that does repairs, don't fix the machine if bought from outside the country.

Amazon is in USA so item would probably be 110 V and not suitable for you. You need to buy a machine locally or from Australia with same voltage as you, 220V. If you try to use a 110V machine you will fry the engine and electricals.

You should be able to buy the same model, just buy it in your voltage.

We are from South Africa and moved to Canada what do we need to change the volts and hz to use our Bernina Bernette embraudery machine?

probably nothing as they make the machine for the country's utility power supplies
you will have to go to places like JAYCAR to get a step down transformer or go to an electrical retailer to get an inverter to do what you want
go to a sewing machine repair shop and discuss the problem

India 220watts how I cAn use brother cs6000i sewing machine in India

The only way I know is a 110/220 volt transformer.
They are available in any electronics supply house.
As I remember the motors in these machines are only two lead, and they put the motor in for the country it will be sold in.
Dual voltage motors have three or four leads (wires).

Presser foot problem

Turn the handwheel so the needle is at the highest position and then turn the power off and then back on.

If this does not help, you will need to take the machine in for service.
