Hello,

It seems that you have to find the correct drivers for windows7 64bit. Drivers download and information for your device can be found HERE.In a case that windows 7 (64bit) drivers are NOT available for this device, alternatively windows vista (64bit) drivers will work ok for installing it.

Let me know how that went for you.

I have a gateway wireless but I needed a USB adapter. I got anencore ENUWI-N3. I have it installed but don't know if it is fully installed or not. I still can't get on the internet. Can you tell me how.

Mabee the hard drive has failed . try entering bios and see if the hard drive is recognised .If not try turning the computer off unplug it then reconnect the drive data cable and power cable
then re- start the computer and see if it is recognised. some models of older hard drives needed a driver installed during set up -- you usually have to put the driver on a floppy disc and hit the f6 button when prompted by windows set up to install third party drivers . I hope this helps

I have a old computer with a tower and a new laptop and i have a 802.llg LAN USB Adapter. Can i just plug it into my laptop and go? can you tell me what to do please?

Try it and see. If it is Plug n Play compatible, it will work. It should tell you it is loading the driver and then, whether the driver installed correctly. If everything works as it should, you will have no problem. If not, go to the manufacturers web site, Support and Downloads and download the USB controller software for Windows 7.

A bit of reasearch suggests that your device uses Realtek chipset (RTL8187B), however sometimes the manufacturers change the chipsets without changing the model number which makes things more difficult to work with...

You could try the drivers from here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=1&PFid=1&Level=6&Conn=5&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true#RTL8187B

Someone gave me the adapter only. can i get it to work without the installation disc

Hi go here and scroll down beyons the FREE scan scam

You can try waiting the 90 seconds and entering the code to get access to the driver or select the second one in the list even lower than the obvious one.

The adapter might work without the driver, but id its available better to use it...

Configuring the usb

First, make sure that the device is working properly on the device manager of your computer. Then, set the wireless settings of the router to the wireless adapter. You can use the wireless utility built in to windows (XP and Vista) or the utility that came with your adapter to fix that.

Normally, the limited or no connectivity may mean that there is a wireless security set on your network and that the network key is set incorrectly. If you are using Vista or XP, try to remove the preferred networks and reconnect once again with the correct key.

Hope this helps
