Front panell power&reset button&usb jacks to mother board

THIS PROBLEM DUE TO YOUR COMPOSITE POWER SUPPLY PROBLEM

1. There are 8 wires from the front panel's casing, excluding USB connectors and front audio cable.

2. Just plug the front panel switch headers to the F_Panel main board connectors. 1 & 2 are positive, if the led do not light change polarity but Im sure it will.

Note:The mainboard provides a front panel connector for electrical connection to the front panel switches and LEDs. JFP1 is compliant with Intel® Front Panel I/O Connectivity Design Guide.

I told another guy the same thing about a different board. Samsung doesn't even acknowledge mother boards because they sell generic boards to pc makers. Best way is to take the power wire from the case & start at the pins closest to you on the front panel connectors (fpnl on the board) & try each set of pins one at a time until it turns on when you hit the power switch. The reset is usually right across from the power. I've had to do this numerous times,so don't worry about frying anything.

Runs to the LED (Light Emitting Diode) labelled "power" on the front of your computer-case

> H.D.D led,

Runs to the front-panel LED that lights-up whenever the Hard Disk Drive is being used.

Runs to the "reset" button on the front panel.

> speaker

Runs to the internal speaker

> s/b sw

Very briefly touch a metal-tip screwdriver between these 2 pins.
If the computer powers-on, you've found the "power" connector.

Because there are so many different case and motherboard combinations sometimes it can be difficult following the instructions for connecting the front panel, USB header and audio header.

Below is a few generic guide that should stop some of the confusion with the labels on the wires.

9 = USB port 1 : no pin present

check your speaker is good and it i inerted in the correct slot and it raise the error of POST so the mother board power had some problem cheak wether the led in the mother board glows properly once it correct check with your board input power +-5,using your multimeter.or else there is a problem in your smps

It would be easier to order the cable and front panel board assy as one. easy on ebay.
I have worked on them for years and never bothered to trace them out. and dell doesn't post the pinout anywhere.
If you can't find one I can get it for you cheap.
