Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why no sound

Anonymous,
First open up the sound properties icon on the taskbar and verify that nothing is muted. You can download and install the Audio Drivers for the Inspiron 1420 at the link below.

Im the administrator on my inspiron 1420 dell laptop and i forgot the password how do i change it?

Hi assuming it's Windows Vista you have to download Hiren's Boot DVD and boot from it. Under Password & Recovery you will find several programs to remove the password for the Administrator or any other user. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer. Thank you :D

Dell Audio Out cable

Only on a few conditions.

1) either your laptop has HDMI or other premium sound output (coax, optical)
2) you can use USB sound cards (or perhaps PCMCIA/Expresscard) which may output better quality sound

HD laptop Dell ispiron 2200

You have to look for a ATA-6 5400 RPM hard drive.
e.g. you could use the Western Digital Scorpio 160 Gb

If you need more help, just post some info back.
