Question about GE PSS26SGRSS Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator

1 Answer

The circuit board seems to be bad. I'm very handy but not sure if this is something i should change myself? To me the hardest part was figuring out how to not break the plastic tips holding the board in place.

All you need do is carefully take a needle nose pliers and carefully depress the locking tabs on the outer side of the board while applying a small amount of pressure outward on the backside of the circuit board till it lets you get by these tabs, then just remove all harnesses and replace board, tabs will automatically snap out when board is pushed onto the plastic tabs

Your TV may need some soldering around the deflection circuit. It is too dangerous, to work on a 31" CRT TV due to its high voltage which, can kill you!. There is about 35,000 volts or more around, the deflection board and the tube. You need to resolder the components in the deflection board and you've got to have the right soldering iron and some soldering experience.

Good luck and be very careful

Hi
You seem to have bad solder joints.
If you are handy with a soldering iron you can take off the back cover and knock around the circuit(using something non conductive , i.e a wooden salad spoon) to locate the area of the problem.
Start by following the speakers wires to the connector(s) on the circuit board and the audio output i.c should be near by and mounted on a heathsink, thats the general area where you might find bad solders, you may have to do a bunch of them before you get to it as they are not allways apparent.
Hope this will help good luck

Gauges not working..

Check your fuse box for lose wiring in the back and, check the fuses as well. if the problem still persist, then, check the cables on the back that run to the actual motor. these cables may have been severed due to age.

Problems with Nikon Telephoto AF-S Nikkor 600mm f/4D ED-IF I Autofocus Lens - Black?

It sounds like the circuit board in the lens is intermittant or there is a bad connector contact internaly where the circuit board connects to the harnesses.

Trying to find a cold solder connection on a multi-layer circuit board with SMD technology componts is not usually very feasible and reliable.

A major cause of this type of failure is from humidity, and or banging or dropping the lens unit.

I would start by changing the circuit board and the connector assembly inside the lens. This is an expensive fix, but it is effective.

If you request the described repair and offer to pay the cost, I am sure they will do it.
