Question about Sony Handycam HDR-UX7 Camcorder
Hi, well the disc in reality may or may not have been scratched, I fear you may have done more harm than good using the "Glass Cleaner" one should NEVER use any type of commercial cleaning product on any CD DVD.
About your only shot, is to obtain a commercial CD DVD cleaner, the one that spins the disc with a special buffing solution, they aren't that expensive, these guarantee to restore your disc to factory fresh. This may at least allow you to access the data if it is still intact?
As I first said this may or may not be actually what has happened, the disc may NOT be damaged in any way, no it may indeed be your laser assembly, however if it plays all other discs this is unlikely.
Also you maybe able to use a PC to recover the data, there are recover software on the 'net, have a look for this and see if it can work and read the disc.
