SOURCE: no heat , drum turns and wont shut off

Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.
Hi, On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)
A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

Ler6620pq0 wont heat up

Usually no heat with this unit is the thermal cutoff that is attached to the heating canister. It is a 2 piece kit when you have to change it. The other thing would be the element but check the cut off first.

Dryer model LER6620PQ0 dryer runs, but will not heat

If drier runs and doesnt heat, it can be one of two things. 1)The over temp. th/stat has activated. Possibly it can be reset. or 2)the actual element is faulty, which would need replacement.

Dyrer will spin but no heat, i noticed the other day after i took cloths out it was fire red in the back of dryer. model # ler6620pq0

It sounds like a lack of airflow.
Has the lint trap been cleaned?
Depending on the view you had of the "fire red", you could be looking at the heating coils, which will glow some. Unless the overtemp switch is not functional, returning air flow to the dryer may be the only issue.

Try this web site. Look on page 5, item 42. It is listed as a thermistor. If you can not get to the site, let me know and I'll give you the step to find it on the whirlpool web site.
