I put in the wep key put it doesnt let me in wifi and what is ssid how do i put wifi manualy

The Nintendo DS only supports certain types of Wireless Security, the Nintendo site specifies what version DS supports what versions of Wifi Security

An SSID is the name of your wireless network, so it's what you see when you try to connect to a wireless network at your home

to put in Wifi manually you have to put in the SSID, Wireless password, and depending on if your router is set up as manual or automatic, you may have to put in your IP Address and Subnet mask and finally you need to put in a primary DNS server, your primary DNS server IP Address is the IP Address of your router.

Can't connect to a wifi because nintendo doesn't support it

if it is your own wifi you need to go into your advanced settings. the DS supports WEP and your Wifi is probably WPA. advanced settings will allow you to put in WPA passwords

My hubby bought me a nintendo ds and a couple of games about 2 years ago, all worked fine, i put it away and didnt play with it for ages, started playing with it again recently it works fine with my...

have you tried updating the firmware on the DS? It maybe because of that , that it wont play newer games? You will need to connect the DS via wifi to your home network the same way your laptop etc connects to it and then go into the DS settings menu and choose system update. Make sure the DS is fully charged and connected to a mains charger BEFORE updating. See if that solves your problem for you

We have wifi in our house and i cant seem to connect with my ds. what do i need to do?

Verify that you have the two items needed to connect your DS: a WiFi compatible DS game and a wireless router with WEP or less encryption. Sometimes the DS has trouble with more advanced router security.
Insert a WiFi compatible game into the Nintendo DS and access the wireless network options screen. Each game does this a little differently so check your manual if you have trouble finding it.
Use the options interface to set up a new wireless connection. Choose "Nintendo WiFi Connection Settings," then your first unused connection preset, then "Search for a Wireless Access Point." If everything is set up properly you should be able to find one and connect.
Look at the color of the padlock next to your connection name. Blue means you are ready to go, red means you need to supply a password to connect (common with most home routers) and gray means your router is using security that the DS doesn't understand.

The ds turns on but screen remains black

Hey,

Either 2 things. Your Wireless Wifi Board has gone bad or it has fallen off.

Open up your nintendo DS and look for the black wire connected to a small board. You will know because there are only 2 wires running in the DS. A white one (microphone) A black one (wifi)

This WIFI board (if gone bad) causes the DS to cut on, but get no video at all.

Inbuilt microphone on DS lite stopped working once we got home. Had been working in the car but not at home. Would the home WIFI router have anything to do with it

A Wifi router and microphone as nothing to do with eachother.
You have a defective external headphone assembly (the connector on the front of the DS lite where you can insert a headset).

It must be replaced

Ds lite connection

Have you considered changing your router from WPA to WEP? That would solve your problem with getting your DS online, although it would reduce the security of your home network. But some security is better than none. As far as the WiFi Max dongle, that's just a simple version of a wireless router and since you already have one it's kind of redundant. You might want to put it up on E-Bay and see if you can make some of your money back.

I GO TO NINTENDO WIFI.COM AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO CLICK ON TO GET MY DS LITE'S WIRELESS CONNECTION CODE FOR WIFI PLAY ON POKE'MON PEARL VERSION!!!!

Usually when you connect to Wifi, you automatically get a connection code. You do not usually need a code to connect... Something may be wrong with your DS's connection.
