Question about Toshiba (5105-S701) Graphic Card
There is probably a COLD JOINT (broken solder) on the video or mother board, I would recommend to check the warranty and see if you can claim it, if not than you could try re-flowing the board, there are companies that do this or you can do it your self (if you have skills, courage, gutts and nothing to lose...), first you need to STRIP the laptop completely so that you have just the motherboard in your hands, (remove everything that is removable) wires, connectors, batteries, etc..., than pre-heat your oven to 390 F, put the board in a cookie tray with a 1 inch elevation (you can use aluminium balls in each corners) put it in the oven for 8 minuts than turn off the oven, delicately open the oven door and DONT'T MOVE IT the time it cools down to room temperature, re-assemble the laptop and try it... if it works, serve with a nice cold beer ha! if not than you need a new laptop...
Worked for me with a DEL Latitude... it's running fine since...
