Which fan/heatsinks can be used on an MS-7174 Ver 1 motherboard? It seems there needs to be clearance for some capacitors to fit beneath it.

Heatsinks are dependent on the type of processor that you have, I recommend that you call Microcenter or fry electronic

Is it possible to use intel duel core E5400 processor with MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard? or any other motherboard support DDR3?

Hello here is the cpu list, for the asus board:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboard/P5QLCM/#support_CPU

Here is the msi site:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75MA-P45.html#/?div=Basic

Your current cpu will not fit on the msi board, because it is a different socket.

The asus board has socket LGA 775, and the msi board has socket 1155.

You have to buy a new cpu for the msi board, to make it work.

Here is the cpu list:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75MA-P45.html#/?div=CPUSupport

If you want to keep the socket 775, you probably have to find a used mainboard, because this socket type is phased out.

Some online stores still have this mainboard type available, but a new mainboard will have the DDR3 ram socket.

Good luck

Warking principle of VRM circuit

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K9MM-V.html

The Voltage Regulator is the Motherboard Voltage Regulator circuit, which is built into the motherboard, and not a separate module.
Therefore not replaceable as a single unit, but at individual electronic component level.

The Radial Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors, that surround the processor socket are part of the motherboard voltage regulator circuit.

General example,

http://www.amazon.com/Gino-Radial-Aluminum-Electrolytic-Capacitors/dp/B006228QMY

There are 6 of these capacitors on the left side of the processor socket. These deal with the processor.

However there may be more capacitors involved in the motherboard voltage regulator circuit, and specifically for the processor, but are Not close by.

There may be more in outlying areas, away from the Processor socket.
Found by tracing the circuit traces on the motherboard, from processor socket to capacitor.

The black 'small boxes' to the left of the processor socket, are also involved in the motherboard voltage regulator circuit.
These are Ferrite Chokes.

Can MSI MS-6380E support radeon x1800?

http://www.legendmicro.com/store/2940_MSI-MS-6380E-010-KT3-Ultra-Socket-A-Socket-462-for-AMD-Athlon-XPDuron-Processor.lmsp

1) Motherboard uses a Socket A processor socket. Also known as Socket 462.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_A

When they switched from the Athlon single-core processors, to the Athlon 64-bit dual-core processors, they went to a completely different processor socket.

AM2,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_AM2

So using the MSI MS-6380E motherboard with a dual core AMD processor = NO.

I don't seem to find an AMD Athlon 64 X2 1.8GigaHertz processor, except for a mobile version. One used for a laptop in otherwords,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113047

Uses a Socket S1 mobile processor socket,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_S1

List of AMD Athlon 64 microprocessors,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_amd_athlon_64_microprocessors

Pretend like I'm from Missouri, and Show Me.

Find the processor by it's AMD part number, and post the URL of the website in a Comment.

http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Athlon-Venice-Single-Core-Processor/dp/B003RXLMCC

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
SINGLE-core processor, not X2.
(Socket 939 processor socket, too)

Show me the Processor, and then we can go on.

Will an Intel E7400 processor work with an MSI P965 Neo F V2?

Your processor "Intel E7400" is listed as a socket 775 Intell core 2 duo processor. Your motherboard "MSI P965 Neo F V2" is listed as an Intell board using a socket 775 processor socket. The front side buss (or fsb) speed capabilities of the mother board, and the buss speed of the processor are compatible They should play nice with each other.

Good Luck!
