Question about Cecilware EL2X15 Deep Fryer

1 Answer

I have an EL2x15 table top deep fat fryer. 1 side does not come on at all. I pulled back off and noticed a small black smug on the theromstat. Could my problem be the themostat? If so, where could I get one?

If the thermostat has no contact between the terminals, you need to replace it. try to contact the manufacturer for the correct part.

We've got a cookworks deep fryer model st-1060,

Hi everyone concerned that your Cookworks ST - 1060 won't work.

Take out the whole heater from the cooker.
Turn it up-side-down, so that the thermostat controll is to the bottom.
Looking at the side that the heating element fits, you'll see 4 small black screws. Dont touch them. You'll also see 3 white metal cross head screws holdoing the heater in the apliance, don't touch these either.

Around the outside, there are 3 more screws set deep into the plastic housing. Unscrew these and keep them safe.
From the domed end, prize open the housing and pull it away.

Inside you'll see the thermostat which has a black plastic pin protruding from it. It is an 'over-heat cut out switch'. PRESS IT IN and re-assemble the unit.

The unit now works again. NOTICE! If the cut out triggers again, it might be a better option to have the unit serviced by a qualified electician.

Hope this helps.

Hello, We have got a small Cookworks deep fat fryer and the lid has a vent and viewing window but there is a sticker on it which says do not use with the lid on. Does this sound like a mistake as the fat...

fryer lids are intended for covering the tank when not in use so that oil will not be contaminated.correct hot oil level will prevent oil spillage during cooking.

Hi I have got a cecilware deep fat fryer

Sounds like you need a gas regulator in the main line.

Either that or you are using a natural gas fryer on propane which is a no-no if not converted properly.

Bravetti Deep Fryer Model F1053B Not getting Power anymore

Hey guys I fixed my problem...yay. All I did was to push a red button which I beleive is a resset button on the back of the on/off button part. It ain't visible but if you look in the holes of the screws that hold this part together (they are far down in the hole) one of them hides a small red button. Push it down with a toothpick or anything small enough to fit the hole and you're done. Plug it back and it works.

Star deep fat fryer model #EM14

You should determine how many amps the unit is pulling, you will need an ammeter to do this. Continuity through the internal circuit breaker does not determine the current being pulled by fryer only that it can pull current. If the fryer is pulling more than 50 amps the problem will be in the fryer, if it is less than 50 and the breaker trips you could have a faulty breaker.
